This is the second order for this measuring tape. It is used by a local Dressage Horse Organization for setting up dressage arenas in preparation for their shows. The environment is dirt, mud, sand, etc. These units have held up well in the past, so when we decided we needed more - we knew just what to order. (more units so we could set up two rings twice as fast) The older models are still in great condition and have held up well in a challenging environment. Please note however, these are used for approx. 6 hours twice a year - so not as much as a contractor would potentially use them. For the price - good overall quality and durability.

Nice tape measure

This tape measure tore the first time we used it and put it under tension. We thought it would be durable and well made, like the one we've had for over 30 years (by a different manufacturer, not available now, sadly). We were going to return, but will use it as it is, just letting it grow shorter and shorter as we use it up. Don't waste your money on this one!

Build seems ok but the print on the tape is inconsistent and cheaply done.

It does measure…which is the point. But when rolling it back up if you aren’t careful it will change the angle and start peeling the sides. But if you are smart and just watch it as you roll then there are no issues.

Easy to use

Great price for a long tape reel. The frame is relatively light weight and will break if dropped.

I like the open reel.
