High-energy active dogs favorite toy
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this product after rescuing 1 of my dogs whose behavioral problems prevented us from walking him in public areas due to his aggression. As an active greyhound, SwiftPaws SAVED THE DAY by providing a great INTENSE exercise activity that allowed him to become exhausted from the comfort of our backyard! Also, as someone with a disability - it also helped me on numerous occasions of satisfying my active dogs HIGH exercise needs without overextending myself in the process! If you are a Senior and/or have a disability with yard space, I'd HIGHLY recommend SwiftPaws on that ALONE. I truly haven't not been able to exhaust my 2 Italian Greyhounds with any other exercise method other than SwiftPaws.Tips:- Self explanatory - do NOT leave the battery/unit outside in the elements!- I'd personally recommend only 1 dog to play at a time. I've allowed both of mine to chase together for a long time until they knocked into one another out of excitement (like children).- Mandate breaks, the dogs will not want one, but they will need water and a break FREQUENTLY- Purchase extra compostable flags from SwiftPaws. They are non-toxic/safe for dogs to chew and easily melt into the grass when it rains!- I personally leave my pulleys/rope/course in the yard (apart from the main unit) in FL as often as possible for my own convenience for a quick set up, only removing when I mow. It's allowed me to take advantage of the system quickly during breaks while working from home.- BUY the "line winder". It will save you SO much time in picking up the rope, avoiding tangles and knots. This has saved me so much time / convenience if I bring the pulleys/rope to a friends/park/inside due to weather. The Good:+ My dogs go NUTS when I touch the remote/device/battery. They now prefer SwiftPaws vs running/jogging/walking in the neighborhood+ High Quality System/Software and Components even in the intense FL weather+ Great customer service, American-based company+ Intense exercise for the most active dog breeds while the human does not have to actively participate, especially if you're unable to walk them frequently and/or handicapped+ Automatic shutoff after 90 seconds of play to prevent exhaustion+ System will stall if dog steps on line/pulls line/interference on the course for safety+ Slow-speed mode for older/slower dogsThe "Bad":- The system is an inve$tment. I'd love to see a more accessible price point option because they're a GUARANTEED hit with the pups! However, the quality of the product truly reinforces the worth/investment and I consistently recommend SwiftPaws to my friends- The initial set-up felt intimidating, however after watching SwiftPaws YouTube instructions, it was actually really easy!- The SwiftPaws Home System battery has 10 minutes of active play time, which for a regular breed would be PLENTY as its truly high intensity exercise. However, as I have 2 active greyhounds playing separately, I wanted more battery time on a single charge and longer courses. I took advantage of SwiftPaw's upgrade process on their website to the SwiftPaws Plus System (30 minutes of battery time, photo included*) and the dogs LOVE being able to play back-to-back. The process was super smooth and I was able to get my device back VERY quickly.Overall: I HIGHLY recommend SwiftPaws as its the best game of chase out there!

Waste of money. Buyer beware.
The idea and concept are solid. But the quality of product, ESPECIALLY for what you pay is drastically lacking. When it did work, 5 minutes and the dogs were smoked. But it only works for maybe 15 seconds and then stalls. They will say “re adjust, make level etc etc” and we would with no effect. We even returned and replaced. Same thing, worked in the beginning, then gives out about every 5 seconds. The pulleys are gigantic piles of trash. If the system isn’t a perfectly level, they get wound up under the pulley. They could easily get away with just a steel small pulley. The battery is also ridiculous. More rules than the government and hardly works, and after a week stops working. Again, I went through two units and both were trash and had the exact same problems. I wanted this to work so so bad. But this product isn’t work $10 let alone $500. Great concept, and maybe one day it will be worth that price? But until then, find something else to waste money on.

My dogs go nuts for this game, although one did get injured while playing
I was able to set this up in my long backyard and my dogs absolutely love this game. I have one grandma dog in particular that comes alive whenever she thinks she is hunting critters in the grass, so this game has been an absolute blast for her. I definitely have to limit their time playing (5 minutes is PLENTY for my gals) because if it were up to my dogs I think they would play with this game until they died.I did have one incident that was unfortunate. My granny was chasing the flag and was closing in on it near a pulley corner when her back legs got caught in the line and she tripped at full speed. The toy itself did exactly as it should--slack was pulled from elsewhere and her leg caught in the line didn't get hurt at all, although my dog coming to a sudden stop did cause a few blood vessels to break and some swelling after she tumbled head over tail. She's fine, the toy is fine, she STILL goes looking for it while she's recovering, I just wanted to warn that as a human you should be cautious about how to use this toy. Your dog isn't thinking about their surroundings, so as much as possible try not to let them catch the flag near corners---rather try to let them snag it on the straightway where there is less risk of tripping injury (I think).Overall this is the best purchase I've ever had. I have happy, panting dogs every afternoon after playing with this game. And while you can leave a good chunk of it setup (the pulleys and string without the motor, battery, remote control, etc.) it seems, it doesn't take long to set up from scratch, either. I think it took 7-10 minutes my first time, and that was also time spent figuring out the course. If I leave the pulleys and string out there it takes less than a minute to get the motor and flag in place.Oh, quick user note: My dogs do tend to get tangled in the line a lot, which they are slowly figuring out how to handle. I like to keep my foot resting on the motor instead of staking it, so that it's easy to adjust the slack on the line between runs. I frequently have to nudge it an inch here or there to get the string tight-but-not-too-tight, and it's reassuring to know that if a dog gets badly tangled in the line I can release the motor to give them a HUGE amount of slack before they are in trouble (which gives me enough time to calm them down). The game works well either way.
