ignore old reviews, great seller and product
I say ignore the older reviews because the company who made this must have listened to the customers (only cool companies do this) and included a heavy washer to help weigh down the hose so it doesn't float and ruin the angle of your suction end.Works beautifully for when you wanna suck the clear clean beer off your trub. Depending on your keg you'll have to trim the hose a little, so be sure to dry test it first.PS idk what the little tube is for that the ball is attached to but take that little tube off the ball and attach the ball to the eyelets on the filter, I found that the eyelet that's furthest away from the hose barb is best.

Same Quality as Torpedo but Shorter Tube
Good product, but the steel tube should be 3" long and cut at a bevel so it will go into the silicone tubing easier.

Worked for fermentation in keg
I used this for pressure fermentation of a lager in a corny keg. I trimmed about 6 inches off the tubing and added a stainless steel nut to keep the tubing from floating. It is necessary to reach inside the keg to attach the tubing to the short dip tube, which was a little tricky. When fermentation was completed, I transferred the beer to a clean keg. This worked well to draw clear beer from the top. It did get struck a couple times during transfer, but a gentle jostle got it flowing again. I ended up with very clear beer in the clean keg and the trub/yeast left behind in the fermentation keg.It worked perfectly, I plan use the technique regularly.

Works perfect
If you want to get rid of the bottom gunk of your keg and only get the good top stuff, you need this.

Make sure this will fit the tubing that you intend to attach it to...
It would be better if the tubing fit a wider range of corresponding tubing or syphons.

Junk that doesn't work
You will have issues with the metal tube that connects to the floating ball being above the liquid line because it isn't weighted down. Got 2/3 through a keg and then only gas was coming out of the tap. I opened the keg and the small metal tube that connects to the hose was above the liquid line. It needs to be weighted down and have a longer chain in between the floating ball and the short metal tube.

Works good…
Put a few stainless washers on the hose end that attaches to the filter to weigh it down a touch so you don’t pull just foam with your beer. Works good for fermenting and drinking from same keg!
