I am so glad I found this eraser! I used to have the Expo XL one with the peel away layers and was so sad when it got discontinued. Although this is quite a bit smaller, it's the closest alternative I've found. This is sturdy, good quality and erases beautifully. I definitely recommend it!

When you don't want to keep cleaning or purchasing new white board erasers, this is the eraser for you. This is like 12 brand new erasers in one! When it stops erasing we'll and you get the marker dust just falling everywhere or being moved around the board you know it is time to peel to a new layer. This eraser can last me a school year, sometimes longer.

I teach physics and am constantly writing and erasing with many different colors of dry erase markers. After about a week of using a normal Expo brand eraser I'd have to wash them or throw them away because the "ink" starts to clump up on the eraser and then leaves streaks on my board. I came across these Charles Leonard erasers and had to give them a try. I sure am glad I did. These erasers last me an entire school year or more and never have to be cleaned. I simply peel away a dirty layer and a fresh one appears. I thought the eraser would be hard to handle due to its size, but that isn't the case at all. These erasers are top notch, easy to handle, and last a very long time. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a long lasting dry erase eraser.

I teach middle school, and I used to get sooooo tired of cleaning my board every day. So, the trick is to first clean off all the residue from years of marker and commercial cleaner and throw out your current eraser since it is just full of the old residue. . I only use water to clean my board, and then make sure I dry it thoroughly before I write on it again (you may have to use a little vinegar with the water at first) . Then, only use BOLD dry erase markers (not the low odor ones) and this eraser. If you keep this up, you should only have to clean your board once a month or so with water.

I got really tired of trying to clean the standard dry erasers, which get gummed up with old ink in just a couple weeks from daily use in our home office. This Charles Leonard Eraser with Peel Away Layers is a great concept, since you just peel off the dirty layer and toss it out to expose a new layer. The felt material actually erases better than the material used on the board company's branded cleanable erasers. And each new layer is actually usable at erasing longer than I was getting with the standard erasers. A fine product. Will definitely buy again.

It's cheaper than a basic whiteboard eraser you can pick up from Staples and last way longer. I like the feel in my hand. It has some heft to it.

Our old erasers would get clogged and just smear after a while. With these you just pull off the dirty layer and its brand new again. Pays for itself after 2-3 "refresh" uses. Would be nice if you could go one step further and just buy replacement pads, but for the cost it doesn't matter that much. I'm a firm believer in reduce/reuse/recycle whenever possible. This product fits that well.
