Tension adjustment!
It’s made with two springs , so you have a tension adjustment, for longer heavier poles. Self setting pole holders are awesome. I’ve made holders so they sit higher and perfect once’s it is triggered . At 500 + fish caught with single spring. Now I can use my heavier poles. Can’t wait to see how many I’ll catch using these holders. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Great for catfish fishing at night
These pole setters work great! They are perfect for catfish fishing at night, especially using circle hooks. My brother and I recently hit the jackpot with several double hook-ups one night. While we were busy with the first fish, a second one hit (this sequence happened several times) and the pole setter engaged and secured the fish long enough for us to land both fish (multiple occasions). The pole setter will actually "fight" the fish until you start retrieving it. Our experience with them is with bank fishing for channel cats. Smaller fish - trout, bluegill, small bass, and others will trip the trigger if it's set on the lightest setting.

Did catch fish
I used these with slip sinkers and floating jigs (night crawler).Caught small mouth, catfish and large mouth.Also had false tripsI added an alligator clip with plastic tube to the trigger arm.If it weren't for safety concerns, I would give 5 stars.

First time using worked perfectly although
The media could not be loaded. Worked perfectly the first time I used them but after that fish kept taking bait or had to manually set hook and almost break my rod and wrist maybe needs some grease idk, I always you the lowest setting even for cats

Been using one for about a year now , I’ve only been catfishing 5-6 times in that year , I’ve caught 11 fish with this baby and I’ve missed( false pops ) 5 yes I’ve kept track, the last time out I broke mine and I’ve already ordered another , if you have trouble with false pops you are set to sensitive make adjustments accordingly
