Kräuterhof Extra Strong Warming Horse Balm 100ml

Germany is way ahead of the UK in so many areas, but especially so in terms of holistic remedies, natural health & healing using everything nature provides; this Kräuterhof Extra Strong Warming Horse Balm is a great example.This particular version is a lovely red gel, which is easy to apply, requires only a small amount & absorbs quickly, without being greasy...faggeddaboud Tiger Balm! It stinks! It's greasy! It stains! It's from China!Initially, there is a VERY MILD SLIGHT stinging sensation on application (but it isn't too bad at all), that soon goes and then the heat starts to kick in. And, what a great heat it is too!!! Really impressive. Almost feels like a hot water bottle on the back! Ahhh... das ist wunderbar!!!It gives about 60 mins intensive, penetrating, heat per application & then it becomes a low level residual warmth. It's a real shame it doesn't last longer, but it's so impressive at it's peak heat that I can forgive the short span. It's worth it!I personally think it is good value, considering the quality of this product, which is made in Germany.*Possible helpful hint**There are several reviewers claiming this balm "doesn't work". In fairness to them, I've have found when I spread the gel too thinly over too large an area it doesn't give the intensive heat. So, try applying a blob (a bit smaller than a marble) on a smaller area (about the size of a saucer) but don't over rub it into the skin. This method seems to work for me, but it... neighhhh!!!... not work for you!

I have many injuries from a life of sport, which has left me with osteoarthritis across many joints in my body, I also have rheumatoid arthritis and suffer with restless legs syndrome. The Krauterhof is the only warming/heat gel which gives me any relief from my aches, pain, stiffness & RLS. I have tried them all from the pharmacy and through physiotherapist recommendations, but it was on a trip to Austria where I was I introduced to this herbal gel. The fact it is a combination of many different herbs and plants is also very appealing to me. I have now been using this gel regularly for 10 years, not only did it work then, but they have improved the gel and recipe over time and is even more effective now. When you begin using this gel it is important that you use it sparsely at first and slowly build up the layer on the joint(s) until you get a feeling in your joint of being sat in front of a roaring log fire (your skin to touch will not be hot, just the feeling in your joint). Once you get use to this you will know how much to apply in one go. I have sensitive skin, but it does not aggrevate my skin. Just make sure you wash your hands well after applying! It also means I don't have to use hot water bottles or wheat bags, so I can rub the gel on and off I go!

I Have done a review on the green balm which is the cooling type this one is the warm version and works as in heat as opposed the green being cooling

I've used the Kräuterhof Extra Strong Warming Horse Balm a few times now, and my experience has been mixed. The warming effect is noticeable, but it's not as strong or long-lasting as I had hoped, especially given that the product is marketed as "extra strong." On some days, it feels like it’s working well, providing warmth and some relief after a workout. However, there are other times when I barely feel any effect at all.The small 100ml size is another drawback, especially considering the price. I remember when this product offered more quantity for the same cost, and now it just doesn't seem worth the price hike. There are other balms out there that are more affordable and offer similar, if not better, results.Overall, it’s an okay product that might work better for some people, but for me, it was just average. I’ll finish the bottle I have but probably won’t repurchase.

Had a really bad stiff neck. Rubbed the gel in had a early night, and stiffness was so much better. Gets very hot, but for me the hotter the better. Will definitely recommend, and would buy again.

it didn't work. I had a backache a while ago and wanted to give it a try after reading all the good reviewsHowever, I was utterly disappointedIt didn't do a thing for me. I didn't even feel any heat at all from it, let alone helping with my back pain. It's like a small but expensive jar ofaloe vera. A big waste of money.
