If you go into this movie open minded you will enjoy it, it’s light hearted entertainment.

I feel my money has been wasted as I cannot play the DVD in the UK. Very disappointed!!Would rate this 0 stars if I could!!!!!

Seven years ago an asteroid was heading towards Earth which was subsequently destroyed when Earth's leaders launched their missiles at it to destroy it. What they didn't realise is the debris from the destruction would then rain down onto our planet and slowly begin to change the biology of many of Earth's creatures, effectively turning them into rampaging monsters. Cut to the present day and only 5% of the world's population is still alive, mostly surviving in underground bunkers. When Joel re-establishes radio contact with his girlfriend Aimee who he hasn't seen since the apocalypse began, he decides to leave the bunker and make the 80 mile trek across monster infested lands to see her again.Love and Monsters is both a sweet and silly sci-fi / romance / adventure mash up with some likeable leads that means despite the silliness of seeing a giant frog try and take out our hero, it still remains incredibly enjoyable. There is a lot of heart behind the central performance and the story that emerges as we dig deeper into our hero's backstory. The creature designs all look great even if the concept perhaps is not to be taken too seriously. Overall it's an enjoyable adventure movie that has a type of geeky awkward comedy running running throughout.

A disappointing 'monster' film. Nothing much happens, with long periods of 'serious' conversations. I suppose a 12 y old might like the creatures but for adults theyre completely underwhelming.
