Snap, crackle, pop.
I've been using the Poly Sync 40+ for five months. I like the idea of it, but the thing has such terrible white noise that I find it infuriating to use. If not for this, the sound quality would be good enough to use this professionally and listen to music when not on calls.I reached out to Poly or Plantronics or whatever they call themselves to get support. That was disappointing. You have to jump through so many unreasonable hoops to get anywhere. They wanted me to update to the latest version of the software. What ... for a consumer electronic that I just bought? So I spent hours upgrading from one version to the next of their firmware. Yep, you have to load each and every version in order. Each update takes about fifteen minutes. That didn't fix anything. They also wanted to blame the issue on the bluetooth adapter, but I was using the one that came with the unit. I jumped through some other hoops until I got the message: we'll keep wasting your time until you shut up. So I threw this in a drawer to rot for eternity because I paid too much to just throw it away, Poly can't fix it, and I can't live with how badly it works.
