Mellona 100% Wild Carob Powder, Gluten Free, Vegan & No Added Sugar, 550g

I'll be honest and say that I much prefer the taste and nutritional content of cacao. Unfortunately, it's also one of my major histamine intolerance triggers. So no more hot cacao drinks...Carob has been my go-to for an alternative and I've tried quite a few recently. Most of them have been pretty mehhh, other than Indigo Herb's and this one.I've never heard of the brand, but I liked the sales pitch and the eco credentials so I gave it a try despite the higher end price. And I've been really pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. It has a smooth, rich, almost fruity flavour and with no horrible burnt taste that some carob powder has. It makes a great hot drink (with a bit of thickening such as arrowroot to stop it separating) and it's fab in porridge. It's definitely one that I'll be buying again.

Love the quality and taste of this product. I have embarked on a much healthier eating regime so quality products are important. I will definitely be re-orderingg when I'm getting low.

Carob is disgusting, I’m sure lots of people like it but for me it doesn’t come anywhere near chocolate.
