Edit: Awesome product ! Thought it was faulty but I now know it arrived damaged
Edit: Reordered this device and it arrived in perfect condition. Both controllers (and the headset) charge perfect and best of all, no cracks in either controller plate. The controllers and headset magnetically attach to the dock and pretty much align themselves.Only issue was one of the batteries appeared to be missing one of the magnetic connectors (see pic) luckily, the black portion peeled off and it works great.Great job Anker !Previous review:Received my dock and install was super easy and item appears to be great quality but.. I noticed my left controller would not charge (the dock showed a error/orange blinking light). After countless troubleshooting I gave up and packed it up to return it.The next day I decided to give it one more try before returning it and my left controller began charging !This was short lived though, as the next time I charged it I got the same error (blinking orange). One thing I do want to highlight is that I see a lot of comments complaining of this same issue… I wonder if anyone else having this issue noticed the defect I just noticed on the Anker supplied left controller cover (see photos). It took some squinting but as you can see, there is a hairline crack right where the 3rd charging pin is located. This passes right through to inside of the cover and I assume is what is causing my issue. It 100% arrived in this condition as the first thing I did (as per Ankers instructions) was install the unit and charge up the controllers and the error came up right away.Shipping this unit back today for a refund and hoping my replacement item arriving tomorrow does not not contain the same defect (will update this review once received).

A Durable Necessity
I made sure to get this product after watching UrAvgConsumer’s review on the Oculus Quest 2, and boy am I grateful I did!The unboxing experience reminded me of Apple’s iPhone. The packaging is beautiful and sleek. You are greeted by the Subway footlong that is the dock. Pulling the product out of the packaging was immediately reassuring: the materials used feel of great quality and sends the message of durability for years to come. The most important and best feature is the included replacement rechargeable batteries and their corresponding magnetic charging dock covers. This makes for extremely easy charging and takes no thinking. The only alternative that exists are rechargeable batteries that must be removed from the controllers each time they are drained, in order to be charged. This makes for a tedious and cumbersome process, and may also lead to wear on the clips of the battery covers. Anker’s solution is beautiful and done perfectly.Though the price might drive some away, the product speaks for itself and is of great craftsmanship. I would highly recommend this to those who plan on using the oculus quest 2 exclusively as its own device — the headset charging capability is an added bonus, but is made redundant if you plan on connecting your VR headset with a Link cable to your PC.

Incredible, it turns the headset and controllers rechargeable with a stylish dock
It really is incredible that Anker created this mod to turn the controllers from battery-powered to rechargeable and a magnetic clipping charging port for the headset.IMPORTANT: This will prevent you from using other mods for your controllersMy Quest 2 is now a true pick up and play and setting it down back into position to ensure everything is always fully charged is a breeze. Incredible add-on for the Quest 2. As long as you aren't going to use any other controller mods, this is a must have. It really should have been a part of the base package IMO with how much it improves usability.
