FYI: These work great. I found a tip on YouTube and this applies to all Zero Water and aftermarket: air bubbles will get trapped in the filter after use. If your filter stops filtering water, it's because of trapped air bubbles. Ensure you have 2-3" of water in water pan. Take a clean blunt object and tap the top of the filter. You'll see air bubbles escape. Do this until you don't see anymore bubbles. I carefully use the bottom of a pint glass' edge for my blunt object. Voila, your filter will start working again.

I have been buying these filters for my Zero water pitchers for a few years and have never had an issue with them. They filter water beautifully, and they actually last quite a while. I will continue to buy these over the higher priced filters. No need to spend more money for the same quality.

Update 2: I received the new filters and refund for the original ones as promised. The new batch seems to be better and is still producing clean water after 3 weeks of heavy use. The only reasons I don't give this 5 stars are the original issue and some hounding from the company to increase the number of stars despite my explanation that I wanted to test the new ones before eating them.Update: The company reached out to me for more information. They then refunded my purchase price and sent me a new set of filters from a different lot. I'll provide an update after I've used them.Doesn't last very long. These are an example of you get what you pay for. Each filter lasts about 2 weeks. My tap water isn't fantastic, but it it also isn't bad enough to be going through them this quickly.

A few years ago, we replaced our filtered water pitcher (alas, it fell and broke) with a larger Zero Water system. The first few Zero Water filters we bought, worked as advertised. Then the reliability slipped to about one (1) usable filter out of 4. I started using different brands of replacement filters, hoping to find one that was more reliable. After trying several different brands, I settled on Aqua Crest. Their reliability seemed to be about one failure in 4. I know, 25% failure rate is still actually kind of high, but it was better than what I had tried up to that time.However, Aqua Crests reliability has taken a major nosedive. Before you ask, yes, I do shake the filters before use to hopefully loosen the media some. Just like the instructions suggest. Of the last 12 filters we have tried, 7 totally quit filtering before the second full tank of filtered water filled. I believe the filtered water tank is approx 30 cups. With all of them, I would remove the filter and shake it some more. They would seem to filter great, for about half a tank on the filtered side. Two more filters completely failed within 2 to 3 days. Two seemed to work real good. The jury is still out on the 12th, as it was put in about an hour ago, but seems to be struggling already. We must begin our search for a reliable filter anew.In my opinion, the problem of lax or no quality control pretty much across the board, is because most, maybe all the brands get their filters from the same factory in China.I CANNOT recommend these Aqua Crest replacement filters.

I thought I was doing myself a service by saving some money over the ZERO WATER filter brand replacement filters but in the end I measured them, gallon for gallon, vs the name brand (zero water) and they do not hold up at all. I am barely getting a week out of each filter.I replaced my last filter one week ago and today it is already at 60 ppm. I could not believe it. These run out so quickly they are effectively useless.Stick with the name brand.****I am updating my review to five stars, and if I could give more, I would. Harper in customer service has been incredible and I hope corporate appreciates her as much as I have. When I left the review, she responded with this offer: four new filters at no charge and a refund of what I paid for the filters. I figured I could not go wrong.To be fair to this company, I replaced the meter, which reads the water, thinking it was off. No, it was not because I tried another filter from another company, and it still read poorly.Once the first filter from "another" company was reading more than 0.000, I replaced it with one of the filters Harper sent me. It was a success. Harper stayed with me the entire time, and I am happy to say I am still a Waterdrop customer.It is not what you do for a client; but how you make them feel that matters. Harper can teach a master class on this subject!

Works as well as the brand name ones but more affordable.

IMO, these are a mixed bag crap shoot. The first set that I received were great, much faster than the ZW branded filters. I was impressed, fast forward to my next order which was a larger order due to the performance i experienced, i, was not as impressed. The second batch first filter was not as fast and did not last as long as the first set of filters. With the first set I got about 3 and a half weeks out of a filter, which was great compared to the original ZW filters (less than two wks). The first filter from the ZW alternatives' second batch only lasted 4 and a half days. Okay, so I thought that I got a dud, the second one lasted longer, filtered on par with what I was expecting but now the issue was an after taste in the water. So it's like at every other turn there is something different that is off about these alternative filters, no consistency. I really wanted this to work and they did for a little while but the overall quality just isn't there enough..... Do better
