Awesome for amputees like me!!
I bought this after I had my right leg amputated. I can drive left footed without this, but it’s painful. This allows me to drive much more comfortably, so I can drive farther distances or for longer amounts of time!! It’s easy to install & can unclip easily if my husband wants to drive. It’s high quality & built very well. It fits perfectly in my Dodge Durango. Highly recommend!!

Very solid, but not super versatile.
This is very solid, and I have no doubt it will be safe to drive with. But install was tricky. There isn't much adjustability to the location of the baseplate. I was lucky to get 3 of the 4 screws to work. I would sudgest buying a blind nuts and crimping tool, that would make install significantly easier.

Freedom!
I love this thing! I am a below knee amputee and didn’t think I would be able to drive meaning I would have to rely on others. This appliance allows me to drive giving me back my freedom.it was easy for my brother to put in and off I went. Totally worth every penny. I would wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone with a need.

Mostly great
I installed this in a 2007 Ford Ranger. 2 bolts were easily accessible, but the others were not, and I used large sheet metal screws. Two complaints. (1) The supplied hardware is very long and doesn't have much thread. I had the choice of a large stack of washers or changing out the bolts for something shorter (which is what I did). (2) The clamps that secure the unit to the base also don't have enough threads. Even at the shortest setting, the clamps aren't very tight. Overall, the product appears very sturdy. Driving left-footed takes some practice, and I used a sim rig to train my muscle memory.
