Sturdy storage cabinet but assembly is a bit challenging.
This cabinet arrived from Amazon via UPS within 3 days of ordering. The packaging was very secure and there was no damage to any of the pieces. That being said, this box was very heavy and we had to unpack it in our entryway and take the individual pieces to a carpeted room for assembly. The assembly requires patience and thoughtfulness which is why I gave that part of the review 4 stars. I consider myself a handy 69 year old and it took about 2 hours to get the base unit together, with a few pauses to regroup. I referred to the written instructions and also watched the assembly video on my iPad. Attaching the doors to the unit with the hinges is another whole story. This step takes 2 people. The key here is to take off one of the hinge screws and actually screw it into and out of the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the cabinet before mounting the doors. The holes are a bit small and you need to do this so that the holes are widened. Once I figured this out, the doors were relatively easy to attach. The screws for the door knobs are too large and impossible to use. Luckily I had some slimmer long screws to use. Once hung, the doors were easy to adjust by following the instructions. The cabinet is very heavy and I did not see the need to attach it to the wall for more stability. We are using it in our laundry room. Very pleased with the results. I would buy from Sauder Furniture Company again and many of their items are on Amazon.

Nice Cabinet...Does the Job
My wife purchased this online from Amazon Prime for about $211. She asked me if i liked it and it looked good...loved the dark espresso distressed look with louvered front doors.when UPS delivered it i had them wheel it into the garage cause the box is well over 100 lbs. when me and my 28 yr old nephew who is a big dude put it together we opened the box in garsge and took it up to the office room where it would sit, piece by piece. We assembled in on a carpeted floor step by step with phillips and flat screwdrivers , and 2 hammers. I was disappointed that most of it was made of melanin compressed board...the moldings are also some fake wood and the back ...folded thin hardboard. That being said when it is all assembled which isnt too hard...it looks pretty damn nice and more expensive looking than it was. An all hardwood cabinet like this in a furniture store is going to set you back $700 easily. We are only using it as a stand alone linen closet for sheets, towels, and face clothes...and for that it has plenty of shelving and space. The top shelf is full width and then the others you can space how you want...we went even spacing. Tips for making this...follow insructions...make on floor...make sure everything is tight before next steps, keep it square....when you nail back square it up.....there are 52 little tack nails to nail in....use them all..there are little holes in backing spaced apart for guides. Once you get all thise pieces of cabinet stand it up to put on doors. The hinges are adjustable and need to be adjusted so the doors have clearance to swing. I replaced the felt pads they give you with ones i had that were thicker so doors close silently. Then put in the pins for shelves and space your shelves. Once shelves are in the cabinet felt square and solid. We put our linens in and it looks good in our office room off the bedroom hallway....it does the job for us. I just wish they had at least made the two sides out of pine hard wood...the shelves and back i could have lived with as cheaper material...but really cant complain with its looks...but i know melanite doesnt hold up well and it is very temperamental to moisture and the finish can bubble and scratch easily...just so you all know...this is not a piece of furniture but it is functional and nice looking as a cheaper substitute

Great Cabinet
Cabinet is a wonderful value is is going to make a nice pantry in our kitchen. My husband put it together in less than an hour with no problems. He added our own door pulls to match our kitchen cabinets. It is just MDF board, but it looks nice and is very sturdy. It was also delivered in just one day from Atlanta to FL. No complaints.

Better than expected. Easy instructions. Stable due to design.
This item was very easy to build. Takes some time but its stable and worth it. The T shaped center makes this item very stable, the top and bottom are pretty sturdy and slightly protruding so that the item can be more stable. Stable enough for me to push the item with things still inside and remain intact. Just pay attention when building this item, EG the doors facing up and down, the back panel being faced correctly before nailing it in, and more importantly follow the instructions. It will tell you specifically where the glossy parts should face, do not ignore that when building this item.A hand drill made building this item much easier and faster. Just don't go ham on it and you will be fine. You will require a hammer to build this item.

Well worth the price
Cabinets are well worth the value! Quality product that remains in the hands of the person constructing each item. Great for miscellaneous storage.Parental note: When purchasing, keep in mind the units are heavy, just over five feet tall and under three feet wide, just over a foot deep. Although they are sturdy, they aren’t kid proof, so look for a less expensive cabinet for the little ones.As mentioned in other comments, take your time and follow the instructions; especially the cardboard backing, which is the foundation of holding the unit’s shape. I reinforced the brad-nails on the backing, using a heavy duty staple gun, so when I moved units into position the form held quite solid.Although the cabinet is substantial as far as weight, fastening felt sliders on the base frame allows the unit to be moved easily on a solid floor. The unit allows for flexibility with a single shelf at the top width. The six shelves are very versatile with 4-point dowel rod base which have a rubber-style cover for each which lets the user move/adjust with ease. Instead of the flat end dowel used on previous shelving of this type, a dowel rod is more useful.I ordered multiple units and only encountered one problem: the louvre door had separated at the edge which was easily fixed with furniture glue.Great purchase!
