Had a blocked shower drain and didn’t want to use harsh chemicals as not good for the environment or for plastic pipes I learnt. I tried soda crystals and vinegar but nothing budged the blockage. I bought this product because it had plenty of good reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. It worked very easily and effectively. I inserted the cable down the plug hole until it wouldn’t go any further and then turned the handle as described in the video. Pulled the cable out and couldn’t believe how much hair was down there. A great device and very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend and watch the video for good instructions too. My drain is emptying super fast and like a dream now.

I don’t usually write reviews but this product did some wonders in my clogged sink. Was pretty straightforward. After insertion, I noticed the water started to drain and eventually was draining as normal. It worked quickly, breaking down the buildup without any harsh chemicals. I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it was. I would definitely recommend it to anyone facing similar plumbing issues.

Really silly putting a hook on the end that doesn't fit down a standard sink plug. Makes the item totally useless.

We bought this for our shower drain which was requiring us to empty the shower trap more regularly than seemed rational. Before calling out an expensive plumber, who might even have to pull up floor tiles to get to the pipes, my wife thought of giving this a go. Well, it was remarkably effective and pulled out more hair and other gunk than we expected!One warning, be careful about the withdrawal prosses as the final extraction resulted in a splattering of said blockage as it was finally freed from it's drain prison.Since then, the shower has been draining like a dream and we haven't had to empty the trap at all.

We bought this for a couple of purposes. The primary purpose was to clear a toilet blockage and secondary was to help with a slow draining sink waste.This wouldn't fit through the plug hole on our sink so we resorted to a liquid drain solution which has helped a little.As for the toilet it was completely ineffectual. As others have commented, it is a little flimsy so whilst that helps it negotiate bends in the pipes, it doesn't have the strength or pressure to shift anything substantial, especially with the small claw at the end. I may have not grasped the winding method but I found it simply coiled in the pipework and made for a not so nice splashback as I pulled this out and it rapidly unwound.I have some rods which whilst more suited didn't have the flexibility. In the end I found the most effective solution was a ribbed plastic pump contraption that simply forces air down the pipework.
