looks great and works as well
My antique Sears battery charger (1968) the OEM gauge was broken for long time. So I found this panel meter, fit almost perfect, had to drill the holes to 0.180 /3/16" to mount it and needed to be low profile. Just under 1.00" to clear the transformer. As you see in the picture, it is hooked to a battery, looks and works great! After 55 years, still going strong. PS: direct connect, no shunt needed.

Works Fine, Good Quality
I am using it to monitor the drive current on my Club Car DS golf cart. It’s nice to demonstrate the affects of acceleration and speed on battery current draw.

It works! shunt design stinks
The meter works and I'm happy about that! The problem I have is with the design of the shunt. There is no way to mount the shunt and or protect the shunt from a short. I ended up taping it up with electrical tape and having it "inline". I'm not sure if I'm missing something on this design. I also would have preferred the meter mount with clamp instead of 4 screws, but that's not the meters fault.

Great analog meter
Just what I was looking for and a perfect replacement. I needed a higher amp rating for my solar panels. High quality and accurate, very happy with it.

actually a pretty good little meter
I have used several of these cheap little meters and amazingly they are good little meters. I accidentally put a full 14 volt jolt to one of these little guys--that red needle really hit the peg hard, yet the meter survived and still works OK.
