Was looking for something to set on lap when in my easy chair, especially in the evenings, watching movies on my phone. Most the soft-type, lap phone holders I looked at seemed way too large and bulky. And most wouldn't hold my large phone with its heavy protective case (3.75" wide). Saw this product and decided to try and it works perfectly!!! I can lean back in my chair, with my feet up, set this in my lap, and watch movies. Or sit up, cross my leg, and just set it on my leg for a good viewing angle too. So nice not to have to hold my phone all the time. Can also turn phone vertical if scrolling online shopping, reading, etc. Clamp securely holds my large heavy phone at the angle I set it at. And the bean bag base is compact and heavy enough to provide good stability. And when I need to get up, it's easy to just quickly set it aside, with phone attached, on the arm of my chair. Would be nice if the curved portion was maybe an inch taller to have phone sit a bit higher. But I'm not complaining. It's a really good solution for a practical, compact phone holder that can be used when sitting and relaxing in a chair.

It works great! The bean-bag base allows me to set it anywhere on my dashboard and keep my phone solidly placed.

The product is useful for holding your phone on your dashboard, in my case iphone 13+....but when opening the clamp that holds the phone, I get the feeling it is about to crack and break apart.....the spring tension is high, so it takes a decent amount of hand pressure to open the clamp.........the clamp is thin plastic , if it were made of thin gauge steel, or ~18gauge aluminum, the product would last longer.I need to open and close the clamp ~ 10 times per week, I expect this won't last very long. UPDATE 12-20-2023.....the clamp has not broken yet, possibly because I am very careful when inserting and removing my phone....the product has worked very well, upgraded from 3 to 4 stars.

I was reluctant to purchase this but I needed a way to hold my phone I use as a GPS for a road trip in a car that I seldom use for that purpose. I also have other cars that don't have built in GPS where I use my phone. I absolutely did not want a permanent fixture in any of the cars. I wasn't sure how well this pad would work. I studied several different options on Amazon and settled on this one and I am glad I did. My wife and I drove from TN to FL and back using this the entire way. I worked terrific except for one time I accelerated very fast and it slid off the dash. As long as I didn't drive like I was at a dragstrip, there were no problems. I plan to purchase another one very soon for the same purpose with a dash camera I don't want to stick to the dashboard or windshield. I want to be able to easily move it from car to car. This is the perfect solution. I highly recommend it.

This beanbag phone holder is a wonderful product. I love mine so much. It has a good amount of weight to it. My iPhone fits right into the clothespin type latch. It stays put the entire time I am driving. I have a dashmat on my dash and it works perfectly with or without a dashmat. I can put my phone in any spot I need to be able to glance at it while driving to see directions or quick glance at the map. I plug my phone in while it is in the latched weight and the other end is plugged into the van. It is continuously charging while I drive. The best thing though…the phone does not move at all while I am driving. It does not interfere with my driving. It is safe. It sits at easy eye level. It is very easy to insert into the latch and to remove it from the latched beanbag. I have nothing negative to say about this product. I purchased one for a family member who held his phone in his lap while driving. Don’t do that..secure your phone safely. It will last you for years and years and you will be safer. It is a good value for the money.

The media could not be loaded. The advantage to this one is the clamp. It grips just about anything. Phones GPS back up camera monitors etc. It's not just a phone holder mounted on the bag. Bag stays put on dash during turns. Works pretty good. 👍

I ordered this to hold a smartphone for use as a dash camera in an RV so I needed it to be held steady and to not move around. I have not yet had a chance to drive the RV around to see if the beanbag holder stays in one place but it does seem as though it should and, if not, some double-sided tape will probably work.My main complaint about this is that it came in a single unsealed box. That is, the box containing the item was not enclosed in another box but was the actual shipping box and it was not sealed closed so anyone could have taken the unit out, played around with it, removed items from the box or removed any sealing tape and then put it back and no one would have been any wiser. When it arrived at first I could not believe that it had been shipped like that but the shipping label was on the unsealed box so there it was.That is the reason for my rating. Don't send me stuff that is not sealed.Update:I have now been using this mount with a smartphone as a dash cam for about 6 months and can say that I have found that it does not move around on the dashboard of the RV as I feared it might, but it does have a tendency to rotate. That is, the mount stays where I put it and does not "walk" to one side or the other, and does not move toward or away from the windshield but every 10 minutes or so I have to rotate it back about 10 degrees so it is pointing straight ahead. Of course it depends upon how smooth the highway is, but it is a constant, although manageable, problem.

I wanted something that wouldn't stick permanently but would stay in place. This has been great. Using it in a 2021 Honda Passport Sport. It fits great on the dash and doesn't obstruct my line of sight. I use it to hold a Garmin Mini 2. Works perfectly for my needs.
