A small little motor with no leads and mounting holes only on the front side.
Bought this little Greartisan 12v 25 RPM as well as a larger BringSmart 12 volt 16 RPM worm gear motor. I wanted to put a picture of them side by side so you could get an idea of what you're paying for. The little one was around $15 and the bigger one was around $30. That's of April 2021. I am planning to build an outdoor motorized 12-ft projection screen. I believe the Bringsmart will have enough torque for the project. I feel it is well worth the extra $15. It's easily twice the size and has wired leads as well as mounting holes on both the front and back. However if you're doing something smaller you might like the space that the Greartisan saves. The little one is roughly 3 in and the bigger one is roughly 4 and 1/2 in long. Will probably donate this little one to my son for an Arduino project or something like that. I'm forced to give it stars before I used it so I will give it five stars and then come back and adjust accordingly if necessary.

Didn't work on arrival
Looks nice and feels solid, however, the gears are so tight, the motor doesn't have enough power to turn them. It just gets super hot and would probably just burn up if I left it. I took it apart and the gears turn fine and the motor works as expected, however, it doesn't work as it's supposed to. I even removed the very sticky lube that came with it and replaced it with a high quality lube, but it still didn't work. Note that by design, you won't be able to turn it by hand, but if you happened to get a good one, it should turn with power applied. Mine doesn't though.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST HIGHLY TORCHED WORM DRIVEN MOTOR/GEAR DRIVER YOU WILL FIND FOR IT'S SIZE...
Unbelievable quality and craftsmanship. Was not expecting this at all. When I opened the box I thought I received the wrong item or there was a mix up. Have now applied this to a complete and totally new project that was never thought I could do because there were no motor/gear assemblies that could do the project and have it to this small of a size which is what I wanted to do. Also weight was an issue. NOT ANYMORE!!!Initially I had tried to come up with the right gear assembly that would work for such a highly torched drive but by the time I was done it was far too big so I gave up and placed it on the back burner. It's the worm drive that is the answer here. I am completely satisfied with what I have received and I will be doing so much more business with this company. Awesome job guys. Great workmanship. Can not say enough good about this entire product...

what is is
Perfect size, gears work just fine except for one problem. The motor that drives the gears does not turn these gears. When you separate the gears from the motor you discover that the motor has a problem. It makes a humming noise but does not turn the spindle which happens to turn the gears. The motor apparently was not strong enough to survive the shipping stresses. The gears though are very strong and robust. When I find another working motor the gears will do as I need them to do. Sometimes patience is required. The cost of this item is so low that shipping it back and waiting for another to replace it is simply a rediculous notion.

Check torque load before ordering.
Indicated high torque but load was more than this motor could handle. Ran for 3 minutes and smoke came out of motor and locked up. Too bad. Got 3 minutes of looking good then dead.
