The pros- the alnico 5 coils really made this strat hit a next level in tones and the cream color brought the Vibe I was going for on my build.The cons- you will have to trim and drill new pilot holes depending on your guitar, did not match up and had to be altered a bit but was not a deal breaker.Overall, very satisfied with the way my project came out as you can see by my pictures.

Nicely boxed ready to use loaded pickguard featuring lovely sounding alnico single coil pickups. The 5 way selecter switch is great and is a good component - the "clunk" between positions is a very positive feel and better than the cheap one I replaced it with. The pots work well and the electronics are great. Nice circuit and soldered carefully. Works a charm! I bought this replacing stock ceramic pickups in a budget Encore Strat- this guitar now sounds fab. Each pickup has a distinctive sound and I can select sounds from crunchy and tinny all the way through to warm and Hendrixy. A bargain;)

La curiosité et certains retours vidéos m'ont intrigué, une vieille Squier à l'électronique crachottante et fatiguée a servi de cobaye. Un nettoyage de la bête, on blinde tant qu'on est sur la table d'opérations et on résoudre le tout (simplissime, trois soudures). Au final une bonne remise à jour avec un son assez sympa, idéal pour revitaliser une vieille guitare d'entrée de gamme.

Had deze set besteld. In mijn Stratje gemonteerd waar merk elementen in zaten, The Alamo Blues elementen en aan de brug een Fender TexMex. Wat een verschil! Op mijn buizen bak van super clean, via Tex blues naar heftige metall. De elementen doen het bijzonder goed. Zo goed dat ik nu drie stratocasters in huis heb met dezelfde pickups. De twee sets had ik alleen de pickups besteld van Alnicov. Net als bij de set met de slagplaat dienen ook de losse elementen met 500kOhm pots te zijn uitgerust. Met de standaard 250k pots klinken ze minder goed in het hoog. Bijzonder tevreden over deze bijzonder goedkope en goed klinkende elementen. Update 13-4-2024. Heb de elementen alweer een tijdje in gebruik. de enige "klacht" is dat de pups hot zijn. Dus ik heb de hoge kant op ca 1 mm en de lage kant ca 2 mm boven de slagplaat. Geweldig geluid. Er wordt geschreven vintage staggered pole pieces. Maar gelukkig zijn deze vlak. Komt de balans tussen de snaren absoluut ten goede. Onwijze aankoop.
