I bought my grandson one of these at a discount store. It didn't work and I tried to fix it. I got is clapping for a short time but it broke again. He loved that monkey so much. He wanted me to fix it again but try as I could...I couldn't fix it. I told him I would send it to Santa to fix (he is four years old). He asked me every day how his monkey was. I kept telling him he had to wait for Christmas. Well, Santa came and brought him a brand new monkey, he was so excited! This was his favorite present!! He took it out of the box and got to show his friend how great his monkey was it was awesome for about 2 minutes. As I watched the whole scene he went from christmas joy to heart broken because within 2 minutes his monkey BROKE!!! He did nothing wrong and was very careful with him. Grandma please fix him.... I almost cried. I don't know if I can. Every movement stopped and all he does is screech, which scares my grandson. Is there anyway you can send him one that works. $65 is a lot of money for us but he Really loves that monkey. That is why I got him a new one for Christmas. If you can help in any way or send me directions on how to fix him... I would be very greatful.

Don’t let kids play with us. i’m a professional performer and I use this in my act. I’ve owned several of them. I wish they were made of less plastic. Just a slight grabbing from a small kid can cause the arms or legs to break. For the price, I wished it was made better.

I ordered this item twice and both times the product was defective. The monkey is supposed to clap the cimbels and make monkey noises. Neither one of them would make noises. Not worth the effort to return it again.
