Smokehouse Products 1 Pound Capacity Jerky Gun, Easy to Clean Removable Meat Tube

For the amount of money spent, this thing is awesome! Deer jerky turned out wonderful. Cleaned up really nice after I was done also. Just a very good product for the money. Is not cheaply made at all. And I took it completely apart to make sure everything was clean, and it was not hard putting it all back together.

I love how easy it is to take apart and clean thoroughly. Smooth to operate, I have only used the flat nozzle for laying out jerky in a dehydrator, but the tube nozzle should perform just as well. Very simple to load, I found that I do get some liquid dripping through the cap threads depending on the moisture in the meat I'm using, but it is manageable with just a rag.

Have made 3 batches so far with no problems. Was easy to clean up. I like the see thru barrel so I know how much is left in it. Have only used the flat nozzle so far,but plan to get some snack stick casings and try the round one.

Just received it today and made a batch of jerkey and it worked perfect. So easy pulling the trigger and fairly easy to clean. Make sure you take the plunger off and clean under the washer, the meat gets caught under it. My last gun the ratchet would slip and it was just frustrating. This worked perfect and built very well.

This jerky gun works great! Load it up and shoot it out! Easy to use and easy to clean. I just wish it came with another tip option or two. The round stick tip ends up making some pretty thin jerky sticks once your meat shrinks in the dehydrator. But if you slow your travel speed and let it pile up a little more it’s fine.Also the first use I had to tighten up the plunger on the rod and the washer that holds the plunger in is extremely sharp and cut my finger while tightening the nut, so watch out for that!

I've made ground beef jerky twice so far with the gun and I'm loving it. The jerky comes out from the gun at the perfect thickness. I would like to see an information booklet added in the packaging which gives information concerning the care and cleaning of all the parts of the gun as well as a picture showing the order in which the parts are to be assembled on the gun. I had questions about both of these items so I called the number on the packaging to ask for the information that I needed. They were very nice and quickly answered all of my questions. This was great, but if I had needed this information on the weekend or in the evening I would have had to wait for their office hours. Not enough of a problem to lower my rating though. This is a well-made product and is very easy to use.

It worked perfectly. Very well built tool. I would buy it again . You can't go wrong with this one.

It could use a smaller discharge nozzle, but other than that it’s awesome
