These are incredibly soft and sturdy. I have the 12 x 24 lightload towels for hiking, and I use them for wiping sweat off my brow and they dry all but immediately. These large ones fit in a pack and are small and highly absorbent, dry super fast. I've put them through the washer and dryer multiple times.

Ordered these in preparation for a mission trip overseas. They are perfect for a carry on, if you want to make sure that you have such items during a layover or if your bags get lost, as well as in your regular luggage to minimize space.Prices were reasonable. Shipping was fast. Very pleased.

All the other, cheaper towels are just as good

This lightweight towel should work well for a backpacking trip I plan on taking this summer. Despite being beach-sized at 3'x5', it came in a tiny cube that I could easily palm with one hand. Once it gets wet, it does not fold back up quite as nicely; but still rolls up to a size that belies its large footprint.The compact size is possible because the towel material is so thin (think paper towel). Despite its thinness, it is durable and absorbs a lot of water. I used it out of the shower, and it dried me off much better than I expected. My hair was the only area where it struggled a bit. The towel itself only took a few hours to completely dry when I hung it out.This towel is a great option if you want a large but ultra-lightweight towel
