Q: Has anyone experienced random rings, e.g. interference? How do you prevent it?

I have had random rings. I fixed it be removing the jumpers that are used for the wireless doorbell button control. I have mine hardwired to the button at my front door so the jumpers are not needed. The radio frequency of my neighbors truck key fob was setting off my chime. A few times when he unlocked his truck, my door bell would ring. But now that I removed those jumpers, not once has it happened again.

Q: I currently have a hard wired door bell which works, but need to add 2 additional chimes for other areas in the house. Is the Nutone MP3 capable ?

You can add any mp3 you want. Select up to a 20 second play or the whole song/tone. It has 2 zones...front and rear. This unit is tricky and takes some fiddling and patience. I have installed 2 and they both got confused and played 1 mp3 for front and rear...some kinda' glitch...but eventually you'll get it to work. Be patient.

Q: Can this unit be wired in and then use a wireless remote push-button?

Yes. It accommodates 1 wired and one remote button. My only complaint was the tinny sound of the speakers when playing MP3's.

Q: On ghost rings, i removed the jumpers. then i added a mp3 that had no sound to play on wireless. still getting ghost rings. thoughts?

I too had several "ghost rings", but they somehow "went away"?
