RAVEN3000w Broil Element for GE Replaces AP2031008 PS249386 WB44X134

I ordered this as it was the only one I could get that would fit in the upper bracket of my 35 year old GE stove. I don't know anything about watts but the old one was stamped 3000 and this one showed 2400 and a second number I now forget. I didn't return it as I needed the element. Figure it may just take a little longer to get the oven up to temperature when pre-heating. Have been using it for a few months and I notice no difference. Only issue with this element was the prongs were much shorter than the older element so they would not protrude far enough out the back that I could easily screw the wires on. I had to pull the wires into the oven and struggled to get the screws in by feel only as it was impossible to see what I was doing even with a flashlight. But got it done and pushed the prongs into the back as far as they would go. The metal plate was smaller than on the old element and of course the screw holes did not line up so wasn't able to screw it in place but it's snapped into the holding bracket and it hasn't moved. All in all, guess I was lucky I could find an element that fit an old stove and the price was excellent.

Decent packaging. Compatible fit in myHot Point electric over. It came with screws to fasten heating element to rear wall. Easy and straightforward installation. Even heat distribution (no hot spots) and I can resumebaking again.

"Failed after several hours of use. I looked it over closely and I cannot see any obvious flaws. I did check it with an ohmmeter and it is an open circuit."The above is not correct. I have not tested this one yet.I thought I was referring to a different purchase.
