perfect for your streaming setup
update after 9 months or so of use. These lights are great. Control center has gotten some updates since I purchased my lights and functionality has gotten a lot more stable. These lights are great for mounting out of the way. I've had two of these lights running daily since i got them. They do a great job lighting your face or green screen while streaming. I like these lights enough that I am getting two more them. Very useful.I absolutely love these lights. I have 2 of them running in studio mode at my pc and use them daily.Studio mode allows you to bypass the battery so you aren’t wearing it out constantly but the built in batteries are a nice touch. I’ve used the lights to help highlight some areas for photos but it would take quite a few of them to properly light a scene. The physical controls are not the best and can be very annoying at times with slow responsiveness/delays to your inputs; making it almost impossible to do fine adjustments quickly. The control center app is the best way to control the lights but the physical buttons are there in case you don’t have access to the app. The app will let you accurately control brightness and temperature. There are no brightness or temperature indicators outside of the app so matching lights requires guesstimation without the app. They are bright but not fill light bright. If you can find these used and in good condition (sometimes around $40) they are a no brained steal, get a couple of them.I really hope that elgato makes an affordable rgb version to undercut apurture soon.I generally control my elgato lights with my stream deck+. The stream deck+ is another amazing addition to your work/streaming space. I have my lights assigned to the dials which allows me to select temp or brightness and adjust them using physical controls. It’s neat but not absolutely needed

Best little light out there!
This thing is incredible! Being able to connect to it over wifi is so useful! Plus the ability to adjust on the fly with the side button wheel while out doing shoots is awesome! It gets incredibly bright, and being able to adjust the whites color helps so much! Super great battery life on top of being rechargeable in a flash! Perfect on the go light with its size, could almost fit it in your pocket

Shining Bright, But Sometimes Needs a Nudge
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my experience with the Elgato Key Light Mini—a compact, portable LED panel that’s found a permanent spot in my setup. Whether you’re streaming, filming, or just want to look better on video calls, this little guy packs a punch. But, of course, it’s not perfect. Let’s break it down.Design & PortabilityStraight out of the box, this thing feels premium. It’s got a sturdy metal body, not some cheap plastic, and it’s super lightweight—roughly the size of a smartphone. That makes it easy to throw in a bag and take anywhere. Plus, it’s got a standard ¼-inch mount, so you can pop it onto a tripod, camera, or desk arm. And the magnetic back? Super handy for sticking it onto metal surfaces.Battery Life & Ease of UseIt comes with a 4000mAh battery, which lasts around 4 hours at 50% brightness. Not bad if you’re on the go! You can tweak brightness and color temperature (2900K-7000K) using either the buttons on the panel or through the Elgato Control Center app. That’s where things get a bit tricky, though—more on that later.Lighting PerformanceFor something this small, it gets pretty bright—up to 800 lumens. The edge-lit design with a built-in diffuser means the light is soft and even, so no harsh glare or weird shadows. Whether you’re gaming, streaming, or recording content, it definitely gives your setup a more polished look. The Not-So-Great StuffAlright, now for the downsides. First, there’s no stand or mount included, which is kinda annoying. You’ll have to buy one separately unless you already have something lying around. But the real headache? The Wi-Fi connectivity.Sometimes, the light randomly disconnects from the app, and getting it to reconnect is like trying to summon an ancient spirit. You reset the Wi-Fi, restart the app, re-add the device… and then, magically, it works again—until it decides not to. It’s frustrating, especially if you rely on the app to adjust settings remotely.Final VerdictDespite the occasional Wi-Fi drama, the Elgato Key Light Mini is a solid piece of gear. It’s portable, well-built, and produces great lighting. If you need a reliable, travel-friendly key light, this is a great choice—just be ready to do some troubleshooting every now and then.Would I buy it again?Yeah, but I’d keep a “Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide” bookmarked, just in case.

I use mine all the time
I got 2 of these for streaming and everyone already knows they are great for that but I also just got into air brush model painting and these are fantastic for lighting up things for that perfect paint job.
