This e-file surprised me with how good it is for the price. It is super quiet, and was plenty powerful with good torque. The battery life is great - you can do a full day on a charge. This e-file has low vibration, although by the end of the day my hands no were slightly “buzzed.” If you are getting this efile for home use, this will not be an issue at all. I really liked the size of the hand piece too. It was small enough and light enough to feel comfortable to work with. A definite bonus is the battery’s fancy ballgown. I am a sparkle enthusiast, so I got the diamond bling model and it was even more magical than I was thinking. I recommend this efile with confidence.*Update* I have had this e-file for a year now and it is problem free and working well. I remove hard gel overlays with this e-file on my nails and friends and family. It gets regular, non-professional use, and it is going strong.

The media could not be loaded. My Melody Susie drill half died after only a few uses and completely died last week at less than a year old. The cord and a apparently super fragile and broke in several places. I was super discouraged because it had such good reviews and was fairly pricey. On the bright side they did refund me 60%.So for months I’ve looked at all the different drills on various sites and searched for reviews on YouTube.I went way off road and took a chance on one that I only found what I’m sure were sponsored reviews for. Here’s my first impression of the Lavinda drill I got for just at $60.It’s nice. It feels heavy, but not like a brick. It’s very quite. Much quieter than the MS one I had. The hand piece is heavy, but well balanced so my hand didn’t get tired using it. It’s also all metal. It has good torque, it didn’t stall when pressure is applied.I don’t completely love the red brush stroke pattern on it, but I’ll slap some stickers on it and it’ll all be good.I’m happy. Even happier that I got a 3 year warranty on it. It was only $8. So totally worth it.

I love this drill. It’s so pretty and lightweight.Almost silent. I did my most recent nails with this wonderful drill.

My partner even commented on how much quieter is was, and I was so taken by the sparkly gems and beautiful interface.However, it got increasingly glitchy each use and by the 4th time I used it, it wouldn’t start. I don’t know if this is user error - I attached a video of what it does when I try to use it now.I’m at a standstill with no e file again. I contacted support right away. I’m outside the refund window (this sat in its box for a while before being used) but support still accepted my request for an exchange! Not only that, but they are not having me send back the defective one! To top the cake, I spoke to support yesterday, and the new one is set to arrive by the time I finish work today.While I can’t quite speak on the quality of the product because I received a defective item, service was 10/10. Worth it! I’ll update only if there are issues with the replacement.

Purchased in September. I only did nails part time, so it wasn’t overly used and it stopped working in May. Not even a year of use and it stopped working completely.

Very useful small battery holds for a long time it's just perfect

I've been using this efile for years now, and it is by far my favorite efile (I have others but this one wins over all of them) I have used in in a long time. It's so quiet and there is no vibration. I use it at 35k for product removal and it's smooth like butter. Works beautifully at lower speeds with no lagging at all and it's so easy to use. You do have pause also, which is a huge HUGE plus for me. The hand piece is slender and feels so nice in your hand. It's not heavy at all which is also a plus. This thing is powerful! I think the lavinda brand is very underrated in my opinion, the quality of their products is amazing and the price is insane. Their products feel far more luxury then the price that's for sure. The rhinestone powder supply is so beautiful and shines so brightly, I have people always asking me where I got it and I always blab about how much I love the Lavinda brand. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this for anyone starting out or more experienced nail techs. This is a wonderful efile worth every penny.

Next I wrote: "The glitzy exterior of the Lavinda Diamond 35000RPM Electric Nail File isn't my style, but that's OK. I'm eager to test the device on my gnarly toenails---they need treatment!"And I continued: (T)here was no way that I could insert any of the drilling, shaping, or grinding tools in the kit into the Lavinda Diamond 35000RPM Electric Nail File chuck!The previous review ended: "Please help so that I can de-gnarl my toenails and AMEND THIS EVALUATION. I suspect there is a glitch somewhere. I can't imagine that a device this well made is actually unusable!"I can now state that the product IS well made. IT WORKS, and my gnarly toe nails have been treated.The problem for me, and the reason this is a 4 star review and not a 5 star, is that the minimal instruction manual is insuficciently specific about how to release the chuck to insert a bit. Try "Turn clockwise toward the open hieroglyph, USING A DOWNWARD PRESSURE (and sufficient confidence that, if you get it right the chuck will open)."
