This is a game changer
Headlamps always seem like a great idea but seldom live up to expectation. They stick out from your head an run into things, they bounce when you walk or run, they send out a cone of light that works great for distance viewing but doesn't light near your feet or to the side. This headband light solves all those issues and it includes a side light for longer distance viewing, and a wave feature that allows you to turn it off and on with a wave function, I didn't know what this was from the description but I love the way it works. The power button cycles between light settings 1st push band light high, 2nd push band light low, 3rd push spot light high, 4th push spot light low, 5th push off. in any of these settings you can push the mode button which turn on the wave function then when you wave your hand past the switch within about 2-8 inches the light turns on and off. Great for a quick peek in the dark. The band light is a game changer. On high it is like wearing a streetlight on your forehead lighting up everything to each side and in front of you. Nothing protrudes out front so this is great for getting into those tight spaces like under the dash of your vehicle. The width of the light allows you to see things out of the corner of your eye without moving your head, perfect for finding that tool that is laying too close for a spot light to hit. I have tried many headlamps thinking they would help in tight situations and have always gone back to a flashlight set far enough back to light the whole area, Not any more.I also bought a cheaper band type headlight that came in a pair for the price of this one and they are going back because of simple design issues that make this one hands down better. So what are the design issues that make this light better. The switch location is convenient to reach and the raised switches are easy to identify and operate. the LED band is slightly recessed which keeps the light from shooting down your forehead and luminating your eyebrows and nose, This may sound trivial but it was very annoying on the other one I tried. While the band reaches out about 20 ft it illuminates everything you can see. If you wat to see something further away switch to the spot light and it is just like any other headlamp, you get a cone of light that reaches a long distance.I can't say how long the battery lasts on a single charge but I charged it fully and turned it on and it was still running 8 hours later.OK if you haven't guessed by now I love this thing (but my wife says I can't wear it to bed... you know just in case) I highly recommend this light and have already ordered a second on for my wife. I think I know what most of the family is getting for Christmas too.Oh, I keep mine in the box it came in which is about the size of a bar of soap.

Perhaps the best head lamp I have ever had, great design, I recommend.
This head lamp is perhaps close to perfect. Buy it, it's amazing It's bright and very low profile almost like wearing a sweatband, it's very bright and very useful the led function is amazing and very natural to use almost like working in the day. It also has a spot light function that projects a good 12' to 15' ft for distance illumination. Both modes are will dim by a 3rd but wait! the surprise function is the "wave control" select wave control and you can turn the lamp on and off with the wave of your hand, no touch necessary very handy when your hands are muddy or greasy. The only "Con" in the middle of all these "Pros" is that the battery begins to fade pretty quickly from a high to a sustained medium level I have never used up the battery in my use and has remained useful between charges.

Edited* didn't keep 1st charge, works perfectly now
This thing rocked ... until I had to charge it. The battery died. I can use it if I have it wired to a battery pack, but .... its not 1979.Sad, because it's cool as. Lightweight and bright. Just a terrible battery.***Edited.Not sure how or why, but after charging fully a Third time, it holds a charge perfectly now and works like a champ. I almost didn't give it another chance (twice it crapped out) but whatever was wrong seems to have fixed itself.8/10 would recommend (would be 10/10 if not for battery issue and if I'd had it longer to see how it holds up. Used it 4 days, most of the day through without further complaint)

Versatile and comfortable
This is great for upclose work in poorly lighted areas. I've used it in my garage and attic. It is easily configurable while using. For the price, there isn't anything not to like.

Lite weight and Bright
I am satisfied with this purchase. This headlamp is very light weight , which makes it convenient to hang anywhere for availability, such as bedroom doorknobs , kitchen and auto. It has various lighting features that are very bright.

Game changing
So far so good and this is already amazing. The headlamp is very sleek and isn't really noticeable because it doesn't weigh much and you don't feel any weight towards the front of your face because there isn't some bull housing that makes you look like some kind of apocalyptic survival expert. The lights themselves are very bright and there is 5 modes. To activate the strobe mode you have to turn on the light first then press and hold again ti activate the strobe function. One of my favorite features is the USB-C charging which is very new in flashlights if I'm not mistaken. The bands are decent quality, I don't think they're gonna tear anytime soon and they adjust to fit very good sizes. I bought two because it is hurricane season so I hope these will help indefinitely. Will post night time lighting pictures and video too

Good But Not Quite Good Enough
I really like the idea of this, but I can use some improving. I wanted to use it to help me when I paint bicycle frames or work on bicycles, but I'm going to end up just hanging it up by my door to use when the power goes out.1) The battery compartment where the directional light comes out smashes my right ear, and the directional light doesn't seem to be centered properly.2) This thing just isn't that bright. It would probably be suitable for stumbling around in the dark campsite or a blacked out apartment building, but it's nowhere near adequate for engaging in painting or mechanical or similar DIY activities. However, if you're not a bike mechanic or a craftsman or a painter, or any of that stuff, and you just want to see in the dark, aside from that ear smashing battery compartment it's pretty comfortable and the wide field of illumination is much better than those directional headlamps.

Game changer
I walk my dog alot and like to have a hand free so I'm not a fan of carrying a flashlight. This lamp is awesome. Holds a charge all week and is super bright.
