Great Addition
Just received my bottle in the mail. Best alternative to a yeti or hydro flask. The price is perfect for what you get and you can’t beat it !

64oz bottle works as a courtside bottle - not so well for moving about
We are used to paying premium prices for good water bottles. We currently own a few Hydro Flasks but this is our first Takeya bottle. When looking at premium bottles, they all insulate well so the differences are really in the details and this Takeya bottle checks off all the boxes for the the details that I look for.Easy to CleanThe first thing I look for in my water bottles how easy is it to clean. For me this means removable silicone gaskets of which this bottle has two, one for the main screw top and one for spout. Both silicone gaskets have tabs for easy removal (see photos). They also sell the replacement gaskets for $3.99! So even if I break or lose the gasket I can find a replacement. My Hydroflask gaskets doesn't have these little tabs and it is a pain to always look for a knife to remove it. It also has a wide mouth opening that works with all my bottle brushes.Protective Cover on BottomAnother comparison to my Hydroflask is that this bottle has a silicone sleeve at the bottom. Takeya's bottle has a silicone sleeve at the bottom that helps protect it from bumps that inevitably happen with metal bottles. My Hydroflask has bumps in the bottom from so much use that they don't sit flat anymore and wobble some.64oz Bottle (jug) sizeIt is hard to get a sense of how big this bottle is exactly until you try to hold this in your hand. My hands, medium sized disposable glove, is just barely able to grasp this bottle... or rather jug so thankfully it has a handle. I honestly didn't know quite what to expect with this large of a size and actually find the 64oz a little too big for my use. For me it's too big and cumbersome to lug around on a hike or while working out. However, for my spouse who plays pickleball and is out at the court for hours, this bottle works well since it 1. keeps the water cold for hours on end and 2. doesn't need to be refilled. It works best when using this at a court because frankly you bring it and aren't lugging it around.Overall I'm impressed with this Tayeka's bottle. After trying this bottle, the next time I'm looking to order a water bottle I'll be switching over from Hydroflask to Takeya because they seem to have thought of all the details.

Would be better with a straw
Very large but a straw would have been better. It is important to stay hydrated. I have had 2 heat strokes and know the importance of having water when it’s hot and humid. I like to carry large water bottles while exercising in case I need to pour some on myself to cook down. I have several larger bottles and this one works well. The only downside is that is is very heavy when filled with water and ice. I prefer a straw since it’s heavy and I feel like I need to stop completely to drink out of it to keep from accidentally hitting my lips while trying to drink. As a positive it is so heavy that you can’t get an arm workout in as well. It has a very sturdy handle that makes it easy to hold even when all sweaty. It does keep my water colder than the similar sized Under Armour water bottle. I do think it’s priced on the high side for what it is. I do like the rubber sleeve on the bottom but not sure if I would purchase it again at this price point. It is a nice quality, but I think there are some on the market that are just as nice that are priced less.

Cold stays cold and hot stays hot in this awesome insulated water bottle ...
I have many different kinds of water bottles, tumblers, and a growler. The Takeya could easily pass for one, but I’m using it for cold beverages. If you do decide to opt to use it as a growler, your brew will stay icy cold. This water bottle especially lends itself to grab-and-go with the handle right on the top. The outside won’t get any condensation on the outside. I’ve been simply tossing it in my vehicle, but it does have a silicone bumper that will prevent tipping. One suggestion I’d offer up is simple: fill or rinse the bottle with icy water before adding cold liquid, add boiling if you are going to add hot. This preps the double-walled stainless and keeps any liquids added to it cold or hot for a longer period of time. I’ve always done this with other double-walled containers. I don’t put milk or carbonated beverages in this type of bottle, especially if using it in a vehicle. Double-walled stainless containers are perfect if you do want your beverages to stay either hot or cold. The temperature retention in this water bottle is excellent. The silicone gasket on the underside of the cap ensures a tight fit and the extra is a crisscross ice blocker. The 18/8 food-grade stainless gives it a nice sharp, clean look in the interior. On the label it says the bottle is BPA-Free. Very well made, high-quality water bottle that is not only functional, but looks great.

Well made though expensive
I have quite a few expensive water bottles like this from more well known name brands, and had never heard of Takeya brand before prior to this insulated metal water bottle. Honestly while it does seam built very nice and has some features that make it easier to take care of, it’s still quite expensive for an unknown brand in my opinion.64ounces is a big water bottle, especially when you take into consideration that it’s metal and the walls are pretty thick. As a female, I have to use two hands to drink out of this. Though it does have a nice handle for carrying with you.The mouthpiece is a good size and easy to drink out of. It’s also closes tightly and doesn’t leak at all, and keeps my water ice cold for hours and hours. Cleaning if isn’t that hard either. I have been hand washing it, but since the lip is quite large it’s pretty easy to clean. Overall this is definitely quality made, and I do like it, but I still think it’s crazy expensive.
