The media could not be loaded. this is a pocket translator with build in 4g lte connectivity, there is a 2 years free global data plan included, activate when first turn on the device, i can use the translator freely anywhere in the world without worry of wifi connection, also there is an additional sim slot for mobile connectivityit has a really big 3.9 inches touch screen, bright and clear, very user friendly interface, i ordered it for elderly parents who came and visit us, they barely speak and understand english, this translator really gave a big help, not only they can communicate with grandchildren who only speak english, but also they can even read and understand english text printed on product box, leafletsthe real time translation is really fast and accurate, it understands different voices and accents, even some popular slang, it gives very reasonable translation in no timealso it has translation history that we can recall frequent phases, no need to speak and translate every timethe device speaks in different languages very accurately and voice is clear, doesn’t sound like robot at allthe camera translation feature is interesting, however it’s not too practical, it’s good for some big text printed on sign, but for small text and dense text, the translated words are too packed and difficult to read, anyway it’s still a big advantage to read and understand foreign languagethere are more features with the device, like language practise and role play game, real time currency converter, very useful! it gets the latest exchange rate online!the device can last around 3 days in average per full charge, reasonable battery life, can be charged with the usb-c cable includedall in all, this is the best and accurate translator i ever used! i’m very satisfied with it, would highly recommend

I like to travel and sometimes I find myself far from the luxuries of a City environment. This little gadget has been amazing helping me communicate all over the world. It has an excellent range of languages and has been very accurate. In addition this machine will translate text which has also been extremely useful.This translator now comes with me at all times while travelling. You’ll be glad that you have it when you need it.Also excellent if you are learning a language as it is very accurate and will allow you to test your grammar and pronunciation.

I used this to translate English to English to have conversations as I’m deaf. It initially worked okay but kept needing resetting as pressing the button and talking by anyone resulted in no voice capture. It became unworkable so I’ll put it down to a bad device and will seek a replacement asap. Disappointed at this after spending nearly £300 quid so hopefully the next one works.

The Pocketalk Plus device in the hand is very reminiscent of an older iphone or the ipod touch, and this is great as the form factor is proven and it feels comfortable in the hand with everything in easy reach.The device can operate via the embedded 4g SIM or when connected to wifi, with the SIM appearing to activate when the device is powered on for the first time.The device is very easy to use with an intuitive UI that provides prompts when needed. Translations and language selection are extremely easy, and the speaker is loud and clear.The elephant in the room here is why would you chose the Pocketalk Plus over translation via mobile phone, and that’s a valid point. For those unable or unwilling to use a phone, the Pocketalk Plus represents a valid alternative. It does feel a bit over the money but I’m sure the value is there for those who need it.
