Perfect, broke my last shifter through an unfortunate situation with a passing guard rail and the person I was riding with leaving me with no escape. The thing about this I wasn't expecting was that the cabling all runs under the handlebar tape now. Much preferable to the old way of doing it though so no complaints whatsoever from me.

Keep your old 9 speed triple if not buying a new bike
This sora works way better than the 18 yo ultegra lever.

Good replacement shifter for older 9-speeds.
The inner lever of the Shimano 105 shifter on my 2005 Trek stopped shifting to the lowest cogs. The unit is not rebuildable. I ordered the part on Monday and received it on Thursday. Works great with all the gears working again. The package included a new cable, the rubber ferrule for the shifter end, and a cable end crimp. Instructions are useless; recommend searching on the internet for tips on installation.
