The best part.of this book, while horrifying in its detail, shows how important family is. This doesn't always mean the family you were born into, but the family you accept into your life with love. Excellent read and everyone should take the time to learn about the depth of evil and the power of love.

Totally a true story, and a real page turner! My sleeplessness, is no more, because I am staying up later than usual to read this exciting book!

Wonderful true story of survival and love. Easy reading and captivating prose. Almost unbelievable the struggle these women went through during WWII and survived to tell the tail.

Hard to put this book down..excellent read..so sad at times. Helped me to understand what happened in Poland and what the Jews endured.

Interesting and well written

A poignant narrative that tugs at the heartstrings while ultimately illuminating the resilience of the human spirit, offering a profound and uplifting perspective on overcoming adversity. Very moving with details of the fate suffered by many Jews in Europe, not just Poland. The author makes you feel so many emotions and paints a vivid picture in your mind's eye that you can't contain the emotional rollercoaster, the tears of heartache and of joy.

This is an amazing story. I cried so many times throughout the book. I have read several survivor books, fiction and non fiction. I could not put it down. I had the audio book in the car and read the book at home. Highly recommend.
