Q: Are these socks tight around the calf? I like them to be a little stretchy and not real tight.

I’ve got massive calves and I haven’t had any issues.

Q: do these have a french terry lining?

The inside is terry lined, I don't know what "French" terry means. They are soft and feel cushioned.

Q: How thick and durable are the soles/toes/heels of these socks?

Being diabetic, I have tried a lot of different socks and have done a lot of research. I can tell you that these socks are the best Hanes makes and are above satisfactory for socks in this price range.

Q: Are these pretty thick?

Yes, comfortably so, not super thick like hiking socks.
