Convenient and effective
These are convenient for baiting my bug zappers. I can’t say whether they are more effective than just using the bug zapper alone, but the zappers that have these always fill up with bugs, including mosquitoes. They are affordable and each lasts for a month. The bait containers are easy to work with and I can slip them between the gap in the zapper fixture. So I swap them out each month and a three pack gets each zapper through the summer.

Not 100% Effective, But Still Worth It
We use these with a mosquito trap that has a UV light. We tried it using one sachet, and saw little difference in the number and frequency of mosquitos. We moved the trap around the corner from our entertainment area, added two sachets, and the difference was profound. We had the ankle biters in the daytime, and the native California mosquitos in the evening. Besides moving the trap away from human activity, we also lowered it to the level of the ground we were getting bitten. Be strategic. It reduced our problem by about 75% or so. We still use the smoke sticks when it is not breezy.

Package is smelly once opened
I liked that it fit location on zapper. I didn’t care for the stinkiness that came from it. It does attract bugs

Hit and Miss
The perfect mosquito trap is a tricky thing, or everyone would have one. Out of the three lure packages I got, one seems to work well, one seems to work a little, and one seems not to work at all. I used them differently, and I didn't swap them after they were set up, so I have no idea if it's the application or quality control or if some of them were old, or what. I thought the contents would slowly evaporate, exposing fresh material, but they didn't. Does the octenol just diffuse out of the . . . putty or cream or whatever it is that's in there?I can't tell. These lures were very cheap, comparatively, and so I don't mind a bit of risk in their performance level. Haven't had better luck with expensive ones. Propane traps definitely work, but a good one costs a whole heck of a lot more.

Works with light designed to kill flying insects
Without it, the mosquitos were everyvwhere. They were not attracted to the light. Put 3 of the these, the top tspe peeled off. Turned off the lights and tv and soon the mosquitos where gone.Hope that info helps

Can't tell is works using no lights on catcher
No evidence that this tiny lure draws mosquitos without the purple light in a Dynatrap unit. I have plenty of mosquitos in the area, so that is not the problem.
