rescue a decade of cordless power tools!
for the past many years I've watched my dewalt XRP get less and less performance. the circular saw especially was basically useless, not making it through even one cut on 3/4" MDF. Now I can at least have a chance of not just throwing away the whole set of implements because the battery technology has aged out. probably I'm late to the party on this, but this whole class of adapters has me pumped.

This adapter locks into an 18v tool securely, 20v batteries lock securely into the adapter.

Purchased 2 Do NOT Buy!
Edit: Update -- 2nd one burnt out the day after writing my original review. Hoping my drill is not trash, everything smells like burning plastic right now. The battery stem clearly melted in a circle the size of a dime. The prongs are black. Either the 5 star reviews are fake, or these people are not actually using the drill. I was drilling a hole in a piece of wood when the 2nd one crapped out. The first one burnt out putting a screw into a stud! (I have 2 18v dewalt drills, one for screwing and one for drilling. I purchased 2 so I wouldn't have to switch them out all the time. These did not burn out on the same drill so it is definitely not the fault of a drill.)Purchased 2 of these. One works, for now. The other burnt out after first use, in a drill screwing a screw into a stud to hang a picture! Fortunately, because I purchased 2, I knew the first one I got was still working so I knew I did not burn out my drill or my battery, just the adapter. It is a possible fluke but I don't think I'd purchase it again.

Worked perfectly
I’ve upgraded to the 20 V but it’s really nice to use some of my older stuff especially when you’ve needed two drills with different items in them well worth the purchase
