I gave this to my daughter who is an 8th grade science teacher. She likes it but wished the elements were a little easier to see, maybe magnify the glass. Overall great gift for her to use in the classroom.

A little pricey but a nice piece for a science buff or casual collector.

It's an interesting conversation piece for my desk at work, but the quality could be a little better. The samples are small. The gases just look like air bubbles, not that they could look like anything different. There are smaller air bubbles in the solid samples that kind of distract from the sample itself, but it's not terrible. The light works as promised and does what it's supposed to do. This is really just a novelty item and for that purpose it works just fine. I don't know that I'd recommend it to others unless they were specifically interested in it, but for the money I think it's worth it. I'd just wish the quality was a little better. Hope this helps.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this product twice and both times I received it they had scratches embedded in the acrylic. You couldn’t feel the scratches from the outside. The seller told me Amazon was to blame for the scratches but they aren’t on the surface of the periodic table. It’s a manufacturers mistake and poor quality control. For the price they’re asking they should send quality products that aren’t damaged. I was hoping to get this as a birthday gift for my friend who is about to attend her first year in college. Now I can’t give it to her.

Husband loved it. It’s entertaining to see some of the elements react differently to the light colors. Made a great gift and is packaged very well for that. A fun bit of science. There are more radioactive or unsafe elements than I thought so there are gaps they couldn’t include. Some of the pieces are not centered well in the squares but it’s a small nitpick.Would make a great classroom piece. I do feel the pricing on the three options is a bit unclear and more than I would normally spend.It is about the size of a dvd case. Glad to have it!
