Excellent!
Bought it as a gift and they loved it! They’re a military family that was going on a long road trip to their next duty station and this helped entertain their kids on the long drive.

Fun for travel!
This is a fun alternative for screens for travel! Smaller pieces so maybe more ideal for those that aren’t toddlers, but the pieces are bright and easy to pick up and place!

Hard to keep track of pieces/tricky to play
I bought this toy for a plane ride for my 4 year old. It kept her busy but not for its intended purpose. The puzzles were very hard, even a little tricky for me. The pieces are magnetic which what was enticing to me but they still slid around and fell out a few times. I wish there was a pocket on the inside to help keep them more secure. Overall I’m glad I purchased this but if it were to get misplaced I wouldn’t repurchase it.

Really good for kids imagination
I wish pieces were wood. Foam will not be really durable, but for now it looks great. It comes with 2 books of puzzles, but both are black shapes. I wish 1 was with colored pictures for little toddlers, so they can get used to it and easier transition to the black ones. For now my kid (3,8 y.o) a bit confused even though I'm trying to show how it works, she just wants to put it the way they came in, like they draw a pattern on the board. Also it showed up smaller, then I imagined. Some puzzles are really hard, even I was busy for awhile :))

Some annoying features
I love tangrams. This is pretty good for school age kids but there are pros and cons.Pros:All in one. Book with challenging puzzles, magnetic board to hold pieces, magnets on all pieces, answer sheet on the back.Mine has two books, the original and the improved version. This is good for travel as long as you don’t lose a piece.Small size will fit in a purse or bag.Snap closure to keep book closed.Cons:Metal board in the book is only on one side. It would be better if both sides of the inside were metal. The parallelogram is not magnetic on both sides. Some puzzles require the piece to be flipped (thus possibly losing the piece). It is small. It would probably be more functional if it were bigger. Bigger board and bigger pieces. The pages are hard to turn. I worry I will rip out the page trying to turn them. The spiral rings don’t make it easy to keep the pages open. The book wants to close.

Good toy! Would buy again.
Got this and a few other car-suitable games to give to some kids going on a long drive. I have enjoyed tangrams on my cel but it is easier to notice errors that way. Electronic versions allow for an outline you fill in. In a real version like this, you could use a big triangle where a small one should be, for instance, and not notice. But that is just the way things are, not a fault of this particular product.I like the design. Sturdy enough to last years, but small and light enough to not clutter your car much at all. It is easy to see your goal shape while working, the work area is roomy, and the magnets are strong enough to stay where you put them but not so strong it's hard to move them.Unlike traditional versions with wooden pieces in a storage frame, you can put this away in an instant, no need for sorting, which imho gives it an advantage over the wooden ones even at home.

Great customer service
I had ordered this as a travel kit for our road trip. I had hoped my 7yr old daughter would be able to use it but it was too complicated for her as it wasn’t very explanatory about how the magnets needed to be guessed into the shapes and that the answers are in the back. There also was so few of them that when a piece got lost we had no extra so couldn’t complete anymore puzzles. Wish there were extra piecesUpdate - sellers reached out and helped settle this issue. Great customer service going above and beyond

Great for car rides
We got this for a long car ride and it was fun for my toddler. The puzzles are definitely a little challenging for him but he could move the shapes for his own pictures. Only one side is magnetic and I think that is confusing for my 3 year old, so we did have to search for some pieces in the car.
