This filler honestly reminded me of peanut butter in texture - its pretty thick and heavy and very slightly 'gritty'. But it spreads well. Its not quite as smooth a finish as a general-purpose surface-filler such as Polyfilla, but it does bond well to wood and dries very hard.I didn't read the description properly before purchasing this so I wasn't aware that it was only good for repairs up to 5mm deep - that's pretty shallow when you actually measure it. I bought it to repair some wooden ceiling beams that had been chewed up by nail holes, notches for light fitting mounts etc, and some of the notches were deeper than that. It does 'sag' if you try and apply it in holes deeper than that, but thankfully it does bond well to itself, so you can build it up in a few layers (the packaging confirms this is OK). With a quick drying time of 30-60 minutes, you can actually build up a few layers pretty quickly.Overall I think this is exceptional value for money - you get loads in a tub that will last for all but the biggest jobs you could be using it for - and works well. Very happy to recommend and would definitely buy again.

Easy to use drys rock hard, perfect for door filling. Dado ,ect

Get the right colour and it is excellent stuff. Easy to apply and dries quickly. Can be filed flat or chiselled. But GET THE RIGHT COLOUR!

I bought this product to fill cracks in an oak-coloured wooden item, carefully choosing the correct shade. When dry, the colour of the filler was creamy white rather than the claimed light oak. I tried to tone down the contrast between filler & wood using a dye, but the filler took up less of the dye than the wood, making the contrast greater. I ended up having to apply a coloured stain to the item to tone down the appearance of the repaired cracks.The filler appears to be of good quality, although it needs to be left more than a day after filling a deep crack, otherwise it will begin to protrude slightly from the crack some time after being sanded flat. However, the lack of colour accuracy is disappointing.

Does what it says on the tin. Nice consistency with good amount of workable time. Dries quick as long as it’s not a thick layer. Easy to sand down as well. This is a good general purpose wood filler, easy to use and sands to a good finish, for the price it’s does well
