Roald Dahl's Book of Ghost Stories

The introduction is well worth reading. Roald Dahl explains his reasoning for collating these stories and outlines which ones in particular are his fave. “Harry” was the first one I read and I was instantly hooked. Treat yourself to this wonderful collection. Turn off your phone and close the curtains. Sublime.

This is a great anthology, that has the rare quality for ghost anthologies: most of the stories are actually scary. With a classic intro by Dahl himself, this is a perfect way to spend an evening alone, with only these stories, a warm fire, and of course your imagination.

I love roald dahls books from when I was a kid so seeing this one l had to get it.it is sad for the book is not all roald dahl story but dont let this put you off I was spell bound by the one story call harry l could not put the book down a very good book

Fab book- love his work. It's in my pile of bedtime reading. Best time to frit yourself witless!!

This is definitely not for children under 13! Even I had to Google some of the words meanings! And I don't consider myself stupid either, this book is definitely for teenagers. Shame my son loves ghost stories and was hoping to introduce him to something that wasn't goosebumps. He's 6 so had yo stop every three seconds to explain the meaning of the words.

A collection of Roald Dahls favourite goats short stories, not his own, which I didn’t quite appreciate when I bought it.However, I loved the stories and the simple intro by Roald and would not hesitate to recommend to others.Ps. Don’t read too close to bed time.
