I bought this to keep my up and over garage door from dropping down when it's windy.It seemed like a great solution at first, however, less than 2 months later it is already broken.The spring mechanism is housed in plastic which has snapped and the bar is extended and will no longer retract so I now have a long rigid prop that is not telescopic and am once again constantly reopening my garage door when the wind blows it shut as I cannot use this prop due to being unable to adjust it.I have quite a few products by Silverline some good value and some just a waste of money, unfortunately this is one of the their waste of money things. If you need a telescopic prop then consider paying a bit extra for a better one. Unfortunately I have already disposed of the packaging otherwise I would be sending it back for a refund (although now it is stuck fully extended I doubt that it would fit anyway).I might as well have just put the money I paid (around £20 if I recall) on the workbench in my garage and let the wind blow it away as it shuts my garage door.

Great item Although I had to collect. I've started to notice RoyalMail(this is 2nd time I've had to go and collect items too large for letterbox) seems to have stopped actually attempting to make the delivery of large item. I will be avoiding large items stating Royalmail delivery.

Our really old lean to roof bows under weight of water and leaks. I needed something to push the plastic corrugated roof up until we can replace it. This has been keeping the roof up and allowing the rain to roll off for months now!Does exactly what I needed it to. Arrived well wrapped, easy to put together. I know I'm not using it for what it is for, but holding up a 4x4m roof proves it will cope with plasterboard no sweat!

Have used these for a variety of jobs, putting up roof linings in vehicles and recently for bathroom tiling. Very handy as a prop. would not expect it to carry too much weight but it has certainly met all my expectations. Comes with a very good range of extension.

The lifters worked well and when in place seemed very sturdy when used to lift plasterboard to the ceiling.However two flaws:1. The mechanism to lower the poles seems to get stuck and can be fiddly. Not a deal-breaker really.2. The plastic 'feet' on the end are made of a brittle.plasric with a rubber cover. Both of mine have now snapped meaning the rubber feet fall off. This is not an isolated issue as both have the same problem. Really the ball and socket that have failed should be stronger or metal. I work around this with some duct tape and careful placement but this is not an ideal solution.Three stars as this still works, albeit with fixing and more care than is necessary and due to the fact that for the cost I couldn't find a better alternative
