Great product at great price Easy to fit

With the "flap" or Letter Plate to give it its proper title having came off my letterbox I sought a replacement. It never actually occurred to me that I might be able to replace the "flap" without having to replace the full Letterbox. After three false starts buying (and returning) full Letterboxes that didn't fit aperture, much head scratching and confusion by chance I happened to wander down the aisle in B&Q which had Letter Plates on display. This was my lightbulb moment and I knew it was actually this that I required.Prime ensured the plate would be available to collect next day and whilst it seemed a little odd that I couldn't order my colour of preference (for some reason a minimum order of six was required in gold) at this stage I was just relieved to have identified what I actually needed.When it came to fitting the item, I was able to replace the existing Letter Plate with this in little more than a couple of minutes. Given this is likely to be a replacement for an existing plate then assuming you purchase the same size of plate, which will have the necessary holes already in your door it should be a straight forward process. This plate comes with two screws supplied, but with holes already in the plate capable of taking four. With four screws in the existing plate I used two of them along with the new new screws for a more secure fit.It feels quite plasticy, but the spring seems good and for this price if I get a couple of years out of it I'll be quite happy.

Fits great, looks good and simple instructions with all fittings included. Tidys up the old door. Great value for money.

Purchased 2, one for the outside and one for the inside of the door. Good quality and look. They both come with the draft excluder which is easy to remove if needed.

This is a decent product however the brushes which act as draft excluders did not last long and came off too easily

A few letters pushed through and the draft proofing brushes fall out. Who tests this product, the Brooke Bond Tea monkey?Stay away from this product!It would've had no stars if possible.👎👎👎👎👎

Easy to put in and decent looking letter box with brush for second protection.
