Much better than expected
This book is awesome for what I need, easy to read with larger print and lines spaced so you can't lose your place. I've been working with a physical therapist and this book adds a lot of similar exercises that include pretty good illustrations and simple but easy you understand directions. It also has a 30 day exercise schedule for a good exercise routine. I hope it works as good for you as the help I've gotten from it

A very useful program of exercises for balance.
As a frequent faller, I find these exercise's vey helpful. After 11 years of ballet and jazz class when I was in school, I had extremely good balance while I was employed in the medical field. I was on my feet all the time, lifting and moving heavy patients and work-related items. Once I stopped working and became less physically active I began to loose my balance without knowing why. In the space of 4 years I managed to fracture my hip, multiple ribs, multiple vertebrae, my pelvis (don't do it - VERY painful) and my foot. This book is a godsend for me. I feel my balance has become much better, I'm more aware of my surroundings and I haven't fallen in over a year. It gives me increased confidence, which I think is half the battle. When you start to fear falling you don't move around as much and it makes the situation worse.I recommend this book to anyone, not just older people. Younger people who don't lead an active lifestyle would also benefit from it. It's well worth it - it costs less than a doctors office visit or a trip to the Emergency Room and is definitely less painful!.Linneaann

Old - need to stay upright
I’m in my mid- seventies and less stable than I used to be. Thought I would get some ideas and exercises that are not too strenuous or complicate to start off my balancing act. I just got the book but after leafing through it I can see a dozen or so exercises of benefit. At this price why not. Text is very large, guess they figure if the balance is going so are the eyes. Illustrations of the exercise are helpful. Worth the low purchase price, for sure.

Simple, to the point!
Finally a book that I can use while I do my exercises and it is all about the format. The pictures are large, the directions are clear and easy to read. It is an excellent guide. The spiral feature, I absolutely appreciate and love. Great job!

I ordered a number of books on balance for seniors and this was the best!
I love that it is spiral bound and that it's such a great size, about 8x11. The graphics are easy to read and it doesn't start overly difficult so there are exercises for people of all abilities.

Good, useful exercises
I've found some good exercises relating to balance in this book. I've tried a number of them so far. I've given it four stars instead of five because the instructions are not as clear as I need them to be. I wish the book had been carefully edited by a person needing these exercises so the steps would be more precisely described and the illustrations would leave no ambiguity. Still, this is a useful book that addresses an important need.
