Push button, start generator, very quiet!
Worthwhile ReadThis is a nice compact generator with push button start and dual fuel option.I really like the propane option because you can hardly smell any exhaust. If you need to push more power out of it you will need to stick with regular gasoline.I see where a lot of people had no issues with starting the generator, unfortunately I did. After I performed some basic checks I contacted their support line, responses were relatively quick when you consider the time difference, seems I was always getting replies at around 10 pm central time. I still don’t know the name of my contact but he was awesome and did all he could to support me. 5 Stars for customer service. It took a little work and a replacement part but we managed to get the generator running and it performs beautifully, now we are ready for the next outage. The company will take what we learned and incorporate it in their mfg processes to avoid repeat of the issues we identified. In the end they were simple quality control steps that could have prevented it all.The generator runs fairly quiet on full throttle but once you engage low idle you can really notice the difference. I was not able to get the readings that they advertise but then again I am not taking measurements in a sound chamber.I will give you a run down of the steps I had to take just in case there is some value to others , keep in mind that for some of these steps you need to remove all 4 side panels for which you then also need to remove the wheels. It is a bit lengthy but a worthwhile read. I probably invested about 32 hours and $15 to resolve the issues for which I was reimbursed. After initial receipt I did the customary tasks, adding oil, gasoline, and then connecting the negative terminal on the batteryAt this point the unit should be ready to start, it would turn over (starter motor) but never run (this is on gasoline right now)This was the point where the real fun started.Take off filter cover and check air intakeRemove and inspect spark plug, gap is ok, spark present.Observe carburetor to make sure the automatic choke system works. So far no anomalies yet it refuses to run, so I decided to try the propane fuel option.Connect lpg tank (yes it was full), set the selector switch to lpg, low idle remains off as it has been.Again, no luck (this is getting serious)Back to the carburetor, grabbed a black paint cap and cleaned it out really good. Then I removed the drain screw on the carb bowl and drained it into the paint cap………wait -what are all those shiny bits? The fuel was littered with aluminum flakes/debris.Next step, remove carburetor- this is a real doozy because there are three electrical cables and two fuel lines attached.Once removed I used a can of carb cleaner to flush any orifice I had access to.Reinstalled everything and hit the start button, it actually started running but only for 10 minutes before dying again and not restarting after that.Reported this issue and was promised a replacement carb (which I received)Now I started my focus on the lpg circuit and while my knowledge of such is limited, one thing was painfully obvious. The gas hose that runs from what I believe is a regulator or check valve had such a tight bend in it that it essentially collapsed and prevents proper flow of gas. Also did some measurements to make sure the solenoid was getting power and that was fine. Here I went for the obvious, I removed the assembly that held the regulator and made sure the hose diameter was restored.Connecting lpg once again it fired up successfully and stayed running. Since I don’t have this hose laying around I decided to go for the next best thing, installing a brass elbow with two additional hose clamps. This worked beautifully. (See next to last two pictures)As far as the carb is concerned I had received a replacement from the company and after I had it installed the unit ran fine on regular gasoline. For the most part you need some common tools, however (and for the life of me I can’t figure this one out), they decided to use tamper proof Torx screws on a plastic cover that you will need to remove to get access to wiring, it is a T-27 bit with a hole in the center of the bit.I now have a functioning generator, I don’t like what I had to do to get here, but it is what it is.The company responded fast on email, keep in mind that they at 12-14 hrs ahead, I would give their customer service 5 stars. My hope is that they incorporate these lessons into their processes in order to make it a better experience for future customers.I still like the unit, it is very quiet when put to low idle, switching between the fuel sources is seamless, output voltage is 125/250 without a load.Fumes on propane are hardly noticeable, on standard gas it seems to be less smelly than my old one.It is super compact with a lot of noise mitigation which in turn makes it tricky to work on.At the end of the day the unit is sound, the problems I encountered are all quality control issues and could have been avoided.

Well-built machine, easy to start, perfect for my use!
The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying I was very impressed with this machine right from delivery on.It arrived earlier than they predicted. Trucking company was great and how they delivered it. No problems at all no damage to the box. We opened it right up and it looked beautiful right out of the box.It appears to be very well built. Everything fit precisely like it was supposed to the instructions were very clear and it was a dream getting started..We followed the manufacturers directions, added one full cord of oil as it says capacity was between one and 1.1 quart using Pennzoil 10W-30.. added 2 gallons of ethanol, free gas do it and hit the start button and it started up literally on the first turn very impressive. We ran the unit for 15 minutes shut it down. Let it cool a couple minutes to check the oil restarted it has now been running for over an hour with no load did test it with a light to make sure it was producing electricity, even though the meter said, so, I just wanted to see for myself..Did a lot of research on this before I purchased it decided we wanted the inverter generator since we have a lot of electronics in our house everything from TVs and fire stick, computers, etc. also love the option that if we determine once we do a full load test that we need more power for the house we can buy a second one in parallel is units and ramp this up quite a bit.As I mentioned earlier, so far, I’m very impressed with this machine I do wish. However, before we purchase it could’ve found more information on it. It’s a fairly new unit. There are not a lot of reviews out there and definitely no video reviews on this specific model although I am doing one and will be adding it later.Did a lot of research on different models and sizes originally was looking at the 15 KW standard generator, but decided inverter would be by far the best way to go.A couple of key features that I really love Are;Dual fuel ability to use both propane or gasolineWeight under 300 pounds easy to maneuver around the propertyEase of operation and clear starting instructionsAbility to parallel a second unit should I decide I need more powerConstruction seems to be very solidConnecting battery was a piece of cakeAnd ease of access to both battery and Oil compartment.Hopefully this review will help others and making their choice and I will do addition to this a later date right now we’re letting it run for five hours with no load so far so good once that is complete, I intend to change oil switch it to synthetic and then run it for five hours with a full load of my house, running a normal operations with everything except of course, washer, dryer, or furnace as we would not be using those during a hurricane anyway. So today is July 1 and I finally got my house wired up and managed to get this thing a try running my whole house must say I am extremely pleased running a 4 ton air conditioner to double door refrigerators, a deep freeze all of my ceiling fans, all of my lights and I’m pulling just under 5KWLittle bit of surge when the AC compressor kick Dan but she handled it right away and within less than four seconds it was back at 100%. We did try running one of the cooking devices and found that that was too much. It was a foodie grill, but apparently the wattage was just over the top.Not a problem for us, so as we have a large outside kitchen, with all gas and wood appliances and grills.I have had this thing on for several hours now and have not had any hiccups at all realize just a little while ago I had left the hot water heater on it was still functioning. We had actually run the dishwasher, so I guess we use hot water. I never felt the surge.Still going to be a while before we get it fully done but all in all my impression so far, this is a great device and a great bargain for the price. The upside of this unit was if I had decided this was not enough power I could’ve easily added a second one and paralleled them side-by-side power is very clean. No fluctuation great way to go for Backup.
