Big fan of Kaged supplements and this one does not disappoint. It has just the right amount of caffeine in 150 mg, which is great, because 200 mg or more can spike blood sugar. You can even get the stimulant free and buy separate 100 mg caffeine pills (Genius offers affordable 100 mg extended release caffeine pills) to control your caffeine intake. I personally try not to go over 400 mg of caffeine per day and that includes coffee and pre workout. Choc full of nuts half caffeine is awesome and so is Kaged Pre-sport which has 188 mg. The flavor is great. I enjoy it in a 16oz shaker with ice and water, shake it up and sip it throughout the first hour of my work shift or writing. Good formula, energy and focus for hours. Definitely recommend. It’s part of my monthly purchases. I wish it was a bit less in price, but definitely worth it.

This product covers a number of important bases regarding support for optimal cognitive function/memory, sharpness.First of all, it includes a highly absorbable form of vitamin C, but only 75mg. It also includes B6 and B12 plus niacin, all in pretty small doses. But I wouldn’t stop taking my high end B complex just yet.Things begin to get much more interesting with the nootropic specific supplements:Alpha Glycerol Phosphoryl Choline (alpha GPC,) which increases the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and facilitates learning and memory.L-Tyrosine: an amino acid that is an essential component for the production of several important neurotransmitters.Acetyl L-Carnitine: Helps bring fat to mitochondria which can help with healthy cellular energy production. It can also support memory and cognition. Has been successfully implemented for people suffering from CFS and related conditions. (Chronic fatigue Syndrome.)L- Phenylalanine: a precursor for l-dopamine production. Acts as both anti-anxiety anti-depression supplement. Improves mood and memory.American Ginseng root extract. - Company says this is a proprietary formula. American ginseng is an overall tonic. It has been used for centuries for its immune enhancing properties, Stress relieving properties, anti -oxidant properties and and CNS (central Nervous System) support. There are some studies to back up these claims. It is also known for being an adaptogen.Together, these ingredients work together synergistically to give your brain the nutrients it needs for maximum function. AS I said, I’m not particularly impressed by the vitamins, but the nootropics here are well formulated.So why the 3 star rating? Well, I find the taste of this product to be way over the top in terms of perceived sweetness. It’s sweetened with stevia and sucralose, so there is no real sugar in this product. But the problem for me is it tastes sickeningly sweet, and it didn’t need to be. This makes it impossible for me to put into my morning smoothie, as the taste completely ruins it for me. I tried it separately in a glass of water and found it drinkable, but just barely so. I get it: most Americans love their sweet tasting beverages. So it might be perfectly fine for those people. But for those of us who don’t like our sweetness levels “going to 11” it’s a pretty tough sell.

So you’re supposed to put 1 scoop in 8oz of water (2 if you use this product regularly) and I eyeball the 8oz of water. This powder is very tart but I got used to the taste and actually like it. It tastes like mangos. I have used it daily for about 1 week now but don’t really notice a “boost” or a change in focus. It could be my lifestyle though because I’m in school, work, kids and I think I’m just too tired for anything to work. I do like the ingredient list though. It contains ginseng, alpha GPC, posphatidylserine, huperzine A, l-tyrosine, ioniplex, acetyl-l-carnitine, l-phenylalanine, PureWayC Vitamin C, B vitamins. These are basically brain food so I feel good about drinking this either way.

I mean, I still forgot my keys and walked into the wrong room, but at least I was alert and ready to tackle the day.The packaging looks sleek and fancy, but the price tag definitely doesn't match the product. I mean, who needs a 30-serving bag of overpriced coffee substitute when you could just have a good ol' cup of joe for a fraction of the cost?In summary, if you're looking for an expensive way to get your morning caffeine fix and feel slightly more productive, then Nootropic Formula by Kaged is for you. But if you're looking for a budget-friendly way to wake up and tackle the day, then stick to your regular coffee.

Received product with obvious moisture intrusion and cannot return or replace item. Powder is almost completely solid. Liked other products from thus company but will completely stop using them now. I don't understand how they have zero return policy on something that's unusable through no fault of mine. Very disappointing customer service.
