Best coffee alternative I’ve found
It’s not coffee, but it tastes pretty good and is easy to make. I’m never going back again.

You do not want to miss out on this wonderful coffee alternative
If you're looking for a caffeine-free coffee alternative that delivers both flavor and satisfaction, Sip Herbals Caffeine-Free Dandelion Root Tea is an absolute game-changer! I had the pleasure of trying the Salted Maple Blondie flavor first, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From the first sip, the rich and earthy taste of dandelion root hits the palate in the best way possible, creating a smooth base that mimics the depth of coffee. But what truly sets this apart is the salted maple flavor – it's like a cozy, indulgent treat in every cup! The hint of sweetness from the maple, combined with the light, savory touch of salt, creates a balanced, comforting drink that I can enjoy any time of day. It's perfect for those who want to cut back on caffeine without sacrificing the joy of a flavorful hot beverage. The fact that it's caffeine-free means I can indulge guilt-free in the afternoon or even the evening. It’s truly a wonderful alternative for anyone who loves the ritual of coffee but wants to avoid the jitters or crash. The loose-leaf format is also a huge plus, providing a fresher and fuller-bodied taste. Sip Herbals clearly put a lot of care into crafting this tea, and it shows in every detail.I can’t wait to try more flavors, but Salted Maple Blondie is going to be a staple in my pantry for a long time. If you’re even remotely curious about finding a coffee alternative, do yourself a favor and try this tea! You won’t regret it.

Bitter
This product may be healthy, but it’s very bitter to my taste. Thus I needed to sweeten it so I used maple syrup to make it potable. The sugar in the syrup offsets any health benefits that the product may or may not deliver.I had one 8 oz cup one morning and another the next morning. This evening I had lower G I issues that were definitely caused by this product. Buyer be careful.

you can make this (or something good) for lots less
I logged on to try to set up a return when my home technique suddenly got amazing yesterday (nope - I haven't used the expensive Sip yet). Guess I can't undo that poor choice. Maybe its a gift, or I can take it on the road to use in those silly little hotel coffee machines. But, good news fellow AIPers on budgets: You can make this for lots less-per-cup.Large volumes of roast chicory from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZTFGFT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)or the Target website are way cheaper. The low-cost roasted dandelion root I found ( with considerable brain fog) was Thrive Market brand - I tear a couple teabags open, and add it to the chicory in my French press. Here's the magic that prevented me opening Sip: I lost my ancient jar of unimpressive roast carob & had to open the new stock I'd bought when supplying my kitchen for my AIP lifestyle. Can't believe how much better this variety is. I pour half a mug of chicory/dandelion brew from the press (or a jar in my fridge - I don't use up the whole French press in a go--it lasts me 3+ days), the rest is coconut milk, carob powder & extras heated& blended in this contraption meant for milk-frothing https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D71SP6K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1here, I put a scoop of coconut cream, a little mushroom powder, the magic delicious carob, and sometimes cinnamon. The frother thingy mixes it up for me while it warms it - I pour that as the top of the mug over hot or slightly warmed chicory/dandelion brown stuff, and, voila, stuff that is standing in for coffee! Now that it is so chocolaty, I'm having a hard time remembering the squirt of MCTs I used to put on top....It's ... good! I've blended those things I scoop into the frother together, now, so, from now on, less steps. AND, importantly, for a lifestyle to be sustained for many months, LESS MONEY. I'm sure the Sip is good. It's just $28, and I'm squeaking along on not much more than EBT while my body attempts to reboot.

Not really coffee…
This was purchased in an attempt to find a substitute for coffee because I’m trying to limit my caffeine consumption, but although it has an interesting nutty flavor it just doesn’t come close to replicating that full bodied mouth feel of the real thing. And it in no way tastes like coffee.

Way better than I thought it would be.
I have a very low tolerance for caffeine and acid, but I love coffee, so I decided to try this. A neighbor gave me a can of chicory coffee once (gag) which made me a bit hesitant to go down the chicory highway again. This is actually very good. It is expensive for sure, but I figure if I only drink it on weekends and drink herbal tea during the week, I can deal with the cost. This has a pretty strong chocolate undertone which suits me. It’s not bitter at all. Made according to the package directions I find it a bit weak compared to coffee, but the flavor is excellent, it doesn’t give me heartburn or a buzz, and I really enjoy it as much as coffee. I put the grounds in a tea ball, put it in the basket of my drip coffee maker, then when the cycle is finished, I put the tea ball in the carafe and let it steep longer. I’m going to try making my own blend with the individual ingredients because I’m thrifty and resourceful, but for those who don’t want to experiment, this stuff is really good.
