Absolutely
This has been a fantastic item to have as a first time mom. It has been consistent in determining the temperature of our bath and has also been a toy my daughter has enjoyed playing with. The loud beeping when the bath is too hot makes life even easier.

Perfectly functional
No set up or batteries needed. Once you get it, just wipe it with an alcohol wipe and throw it in the water—it works right away. The accuracy is on point and it looks great in the tub. I love how it constantly reads the temperature and I can see it well on the display. It’s a great measure as to have a long or a short bath depending on the temperature level, so it’s perfect that it’s consistently monitoring the temperature

Great to check the temp for my sons bath.
When I first got this I was confused on how to make it work because it didnt really say. All you have to do is put it in the tube and it will light up green if its too cold and red if its too hot! its perfect for when I give my son a bath but I have also used it for when I give my dog a bath. So far the battery is working great but I have only had it for a couple months.

Accurate, Sturdy, and Doubles as a Bath Toy
The media could not be loaded. We had a different floating thermometer before this one, but it stopped working pretty quickly. This duck has been a big upgrade—it feels sturdier, the display is larger and easier to read, and the temperature has been spot-on every time.It flashes a warning if the water is too warm, which gives me peace of mind, especially during those early baths. I also love that it was priced similarly to the one we replaced but feels much better made.Bonus: our baby loves playing with it, so it’s pulling double duty as a bath toy too!

No directions
The media could not be loaded. Bathtub Duckb&h Baby Thermometer, The Infant Baby Bath Floating Toy Safety Temperature Thermometer (Classic Duck)FIRST OF ALL~ I apologize in advance if none of this makes any sense, redundant, or too detailed. I had no instructions to go on so I have done my best here to go step by step. This is an AMAZING addition to ANY child’s bathtub time. My sons love playing with it and a red light goes on if the bathtub water is too hot. It also has a few different modes. Win/Win situation! Here are some instructions in detail. I Looked online and I couldn’t find the instructions for this particular brand.Took me 30-45 minutes to figure everything out.I hope this can help someone!!!Any questions please direct to Amazon question board below and I’ll do my best to answer them once they reach my inbox or my Notification Center.Because of nearly all questions answered on Amazon being useless, I personally do my best to answer precisely and explain as the best I can. Not bragging just frustrated from all the wrong and/or useless answers or information.THE DUCK!!!The temperature will never stop showing, when being used until it has not been touched for a while. The temperature will be shown when in the water.Neither will the time of day/night unless it’s in the Mode of the timer/stopwatch modes.Directions for use:The duck has two time modes of time of day/night and temperature that you can set for the warning light and beep to sound. In Fahrenheit mode, it does not show AM, it does however show PM.In Celsius mode, military time is used.VERY IMPORTANT INFO:THERE IS AN ALARM ON THE DUCK!!!The alarms sound is VERY LOW if the water is too hot, as well as a red light above the temperature will be displayed. Which really helps and is one of the best features on the duck.VERY IMPORTANT INFO:The duck takes only lr44 batteries.Always put the exact type of battery that you receive with anything except going up from heavy duty to alkaline. Never go up on water toys. They use only alkaline for a reason.DONT get anything but that number. LR44.Of course it has ‘same as’.No need for zinc oxide. DONT use it.I have put a zinc oxide in a water toy before and it rusted and broke within a month. Same as my last two ducks purchased. They started having issues with moisture and rust. Here are the displays and modes:Time setting mode:With the time of day/night displayed and the temperature always stays on. It is NOT accurate when it is not touching water- about +/- 25 degrees OFF if not in water. If in water it is roughly +/- 5 degrees Fahrenheit for me.To set the day/night - hours/minutes:First of all, see above for information on Fahrenheit amd Celsius settings when it comes to time.If you leave the ducks buttons alone, it will automatically go to the time of day/night mode. The temperature will still be displayed. Unless you don’t use it for a while. I have not counted the minutes for this to happen. While it is in the time mode (time of the day or night) you can press both the hour and minute buttons together to change the degrees from Fahrenheit or Celsius. To change the Fahrenheit/Celsius degrees alarms to change temperature when the ducks red warning light as well as alarm, press and hold the set/MODE button until the hours of day/night starts to flash. Once it flashes, press the set/MODE button twice and it will show the ‘F’ or ‘C’ flashing. To change from F to C and vice versa, press the +/- button together. To change the warning degrees temperature, while the ‘F’ or ‘C’ button are flashing, press +/- button to change the Fahrenheit from a value of 99 to 104 degrees. The Celsius setting will go from 37 degrees to 40 degrees. The factory setting is 102 degrees at default. Also while in time mode, you can change the hour/minutes of the day as well as AM (no display) or PM (the duck displays PM on the left side of the lcd screen) by holding down the set/MODE button. The time will flash and you can set hour with hour button, and minutes by minute button. To make the numbers go up faster without pressing the button so many times, Hold Down The Button(s) Needed of hours/minutes that you would like to set for a few seconds and the time will rapidly go up.These are the two modes of stopwatch/timer.Pressing the set/Mode button will bring you to these modes.1. Stopwatch mode:Counting up to give you a heads up of how long your child has been in the bathtub for once you press the mode button AFTER you have pressed the mode button in the time of DAY/NIGHT mode.Of course it counts UP from the time you start the timer, from the start of 00m00s unless you press the MODE button.(Press MODE twice if you are in the DAY/Night mode)To get to the Timer mode (Countdown mode) read below.2. Timer mode:You can set a timer to count down from a time that you set from 59’59 to 1 second.Once the countdown reaches 00minutes, 00 seconds, a beeping noise will go off.The beeping noise is VERY FAINT and lasts for 30 seconds. After the 30 second alarm, the countdown will reset itself to the countdown time you chose and if you press a button the countdown will be displayed again. If you would like to change the countdown again and wish to change it to a completely different time, just as before press both buttons and +/- to set again from 00m00s.To easily ADD time, press the MIN/SEC together snd to the time you want to add to the countdown previously set.IF YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE BUTTONS WHATSOEVER: The alarm beeps will stop and roughly 10 seconds later, the time of Day/Night will be displayed.Reset timer mode:As instructed before, to reset the countdown or the timer modes, press both time buttons, MIN(+) and SEC(-) together to reach your needs. The only thing I dislike about it that it is VERY hard to figure out as there was no directions included with the duck itself.Again, I hope this all helps!-b

Awesome Product
This adorable little ducky has truly been a game-changer for us! We rely on it every time we give our newborn a bath, and I can honestly say that it has made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. The clear time and temp are great but the alarm with red light showing its too hot and the green light makes it fool proof and worry free. We genuinely can't imagine managing without it; it has become an essential part of our routine. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a fun and practical bathing solution for their little one!
