I live in kent which with quite hard water.With other cartridges, after about 2 weeks of use, water scum starts appearing, and these ones last more than 1 month for our family of 5. We filter all the water used for cooking, and drink a lot of tea. Great product.RecommendedBut beware of price fluctuations!!!!

WE have been using Brita Filter cartridges for years and have found the water is good no more horrible taste and our kettle is also great.However if anything these new filters seem to Filter out even more particles and we have noticed that there is no more limescale in our kettle now that is a improvement on the previous ones We drink a lot of water in our house as my Husband has always got a glass of water ,also we always give it to our dog No she is begin to turn her nose up to tap water.The only annoying part is that these filters just like the original ones will not last a month so we rang Brita to see why and they say that they have altered the filter so that it monitors how much water goes through the filter and because we use a lot we will only get two weeks and not four ,so when the gauge tells us that it needs another we have to give it a extra two weeks so we are in theory getting four weeks. Then she said it would be cheaper for us to have a Brita,but we have only just brought a new tap and was not thinking of getting another.So we will have to carry on as we are.

I’ve always used Brita Filter Jugs as the water in my area has a distinct, chlorinated taste, and I consider the Filter Jug to be a necessity. I used to purchase replacement Maxtra Filters either singly or in smaller packs of three, mainly because my local outlet didn’t stock larger quantity packs, but since discovering these larger packs of six, I’ve found that it’s much more economical and better value to buy in larger quantities, apart from the obvious advantage that you don’t have to buy replacements so frequently. The filters are easy to install and activate, full instructions are included, and each filter lasts between three to four weeks, depending on use. All in all a good product.

These filters are better than most, but are getting expensive.
