Great product, does exactly what I needed it to do
The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my entire house as the front and back have a tremendous amount of light and heat coming in, also for privacy. They cut down about 2°f-3°f as well as almost all the glare from walls and surfaces (I can actually watch TV without the glare lol). The house does a better job at staying cool as well, it looks like the sunsets and raise about 2 hours earlier/later is the best way I can describe it and it actually gets cold (which in May in Texas is huge) My significant other is actually able to sleep in now as well on her days off which is a big win as well. I’ll have to compare in a few months what the difference is in my bills. The privacy is also a huge bonus, my front door has a window and that allows people to see all the way to the back of the house and I’ve had solicitors put their face up to the glass numerous times to look in. This almost stop that completely as if they press they’re faces up and cup their face they can still see outlines inside (especially since I have a big window parallel to the door) but that doesn’t happen often at all. My parents liked it so much they had me install the film on their font door as well for the same reasons. You can’t see out at night very well but people can see in so just be aware of that blinds are life saversThe only thing I would say during install is use a lot of spray and for bigger pieces have help as it we’ll want to move on you. I’d also recommend getting a credit card a tint tool as it works better then the squeegee provided. Heat guns helps get the excess bubbles out and the help the ends that won’t stay down. Clean the window really well like extremely well, I had a window that unfortunately the previous owner got over spay on when painting and it’s viable on the tint, not what you want.all in all I spent maybe $450 on these films and had minimum issues, time will be the true test on how effective they are. From my research it takes roughly 3-4 years to see a ROI and most films last 6-7 years so we’ll find out then. Definitely a good DIY weekend project.

Product as described
Love it. Sure it is darker while film is on. It’s like looking while wearing sunglasses. Tested with thermo tool in direct heat in 85F weather. Non treated recorded as 121F. With film in it was down to 107F. Big difference !!!!Suggest doing installation as a team meaning two people. Much easier to start with straight corner and work the way down. Also I trimmed 1/8” off the edge of the corner window so the film would stick all the way.If your corners have some caulk around it it won’t be easy to flatten all the way without trimming it bit more.

Technique Sensitive
Instead of spending $3-4000 for some one to come and tint my doors, I decided to do it myself. I’ve never tinted windows or doors in the past so I was a bit nervous since I’ve read many negative reviews on how this film is flimsy and wrinkles easily to end up with a horrible result. Well, I read the instructions and I watched videos, I ended up installing 6 doors and all of them turned out OK. Installation is very technique sensitive and I can see why many had trouble. Once I got the first two done, the remaining 4 were straight forward. LOVE how the end result looked and this product did what it was supposed to do and I saved thousands!

Definitely recommend
I bought the blue tint and I really like it. I used it in my laundry room. I have a big window in there that faces back yard. I have a storage rack in front of the widow that holds paper towels and lots of miscellaneous stuff. I didn’t like that you could see all the junk from the back yard. From inside I can see out and it’s a pretty light blue tint. Can’t see in from the outside . The kit came with everything you need. It was fairly easy to apply. I had another person help which made it easier but 1 person old do it. Depends on how your windows are. Mine window is 4 different panels so had to be cut and also spliced ina couple places but still came out good- for a laundry room 😊

Worth the money!
For context I have South and West facing single pane windows. My windows are also veryyy drafty. Summer is approaching quickly and I figured this would help beat the heat!I originally purchased these in black reflective which was a little bit too dark for my liking (4th picture). Day time it was fine but at night I wanted to be able to see outside without being right up against the window. So I ordered them in silver and it’s the perfect fit. (Pictures 1)I have a light meter that I use for my plants… according to that the black film blocks about 10x the light. The silver one blocks a bit less but I attached pictures so you can see how it actually works. It’s 9:40 am in these pictures and my window is South facing for reference. The bottom half of the window has the silver film (Picture 3) and the top half (Picture 2) is bare because I ran out. You can see the light meter changes from 7000 lux to 1700 lux when you use the film.Installation was easy but I highly recommend using your own spray bottle and sharp utility knife. I installed these by myself but I would recommend 2 people if your windows are any larger than mine.I took the darker black film off the first window I did and replaced it with silver… It was so easy to remove and didn’t leave any residue. These are great and I look forward to using them during the summer to save money on electricity.

Tape tape tape it all the way around
Thought this would stick to windows like a window cling... Needs to be taped down well.. if not it falls then gets bends in it and then.. it looks like rolled up aluminum foil.. not a good look on your windows 😐. I bought 3 rolls.. put them all up in the morning, left for work.. came home and it was all on the ground and my cat has ruined it all.. it definitely was a waste of $ for me.
