Cute Chibi Tarot: Understanding Tarot with the Chibi Universe - 78 Cards and Guidebook Cards – 3 Aug. 2023

First off, the art is absolutely adorable! I love the sheer variety of characters and the cute actions in each of them. For skimming and admiring they're absolutely lovely. Card stock is fairly good but just be careful leaving it in sunlight to avoid bending.What I will say however is that this probably shouldn't be your first deck. The guidebook doesn't quite go into enough detail for you to understand the meaning of the cards just from this set. The book is good enough for guidelines, so explaining basic layouts and advice for interpreting the cards, but the cards themselves also don't often align to the traditional RW formatting. This is particularly an issue with the difficult minor tarot. Often when reading cards you'll use the imagery to help you remember what each card represents but there isn't enough detail on the minors to really get a grasp.It's worth noting that this isn't completely a mark against the deck. Many tarot decks simply include the numbers for the minor arcana which has the same issue. This deck at the very least gives charming illustrations for each one. And some of the suites, particularly the swords, read perfectly fine. I would just recommend going with this as a second or third tarot deck, at least until you have all the tarots and meanings memorised. Lovely deck, one of my favourites!
