Still pedalin' six months later
I am an exerciser. Like, a "get up and at 'em at 4am" kind of exerciser. Because people can get the wrong idea if I'm out walking our road that early (not to mention the fact that people drive like idiots around here, and dodging speeding cars isn't the kind of exercise I'm looking for), I bought this little pink exercise bike back in February 2016. Six months later, I can't imagine how I lived without it.It comes in pieces in a box weighing 30-or-so pounds, but don't let that scare you. I was able to assemble it with the included tools in about 35-40 minutes, and I only said a bad word once or twice during the whole process. Once you're done with that, it's ready to go. It's quiet, so I've never had any issue with waking the other members of my household at the ungodly hour at which I use it. In six months time, I haven't had any issue with any of the bolts/nuts/screws walking loose, although I do a weekly check to make sure that everything is still holding where it should be. That's saying a lot for this bike, since it's been used almost every single day since it arrived. Granted, it's not super-duper gym quality, but it's still pretty darn good. Now, I will agree with what some of the other reviewers have noted about size issues. I'm 5'7" and wear a ladies small, so I have no problems with the height of the seat, *but*...I do have it in the lowest setting, so I can easily see how someone more petite in height could be left struggling. Also, I have some clearance on either side between my hips and the side handle bars, but not a huge lot, so please do take this into consideration if you think this feature could cause problems for you. You can always leave them off, because it wouldn't affect the function of this bike one bit, and you will still be able to pedal to your heart's content.Although some reviewers aren't happy with the magnetic tension levels on this bike, I'm content with them. Please note, though, that after about level 3 (on mine, at least), the difficulty level pretty much stays relatively the same. If you're a beginner, you will most likely have all the challenge you need. I like to stair-step my way through the levels every few minutes or so while I'm exercising just to break up the monotony of pedaling and not going anywhere, so I have no complaints about that aspect of the bike. The only thing about this bike that I would change is the seat. After several minutes, it starts to wear on my fanny, but it's bearable. For all the other great things about this bike, I'll live with it...and hopefully finally remember to invest in a cushioned seat cover. For me, this bike has been an unbelievably great investment, especially for the price. I can exercise in the privacy of my own home while I read or binge on Amazon Video, and when I'm done, I fold it up and stick it in the corner until the next time. It has held together magnificently with very repeated use, and I believe that it will continue to serve me well for quite a while into the future.

There are so many things to like about this bike!
I got this bike so I could exercise more at home, but my goal isn't to lose a bunch of weight. That being said, here are the things I like and dislike about this bike.Pros:1. It is very easy to fold and unfold.2. Doesn't take up much space when folded (about a space of 18 in x 18 in), so it can be behind a door, in a closet, etc.3. It has wheels, so it is easy to move from place to place.4. Light weight.5. Very quiet.6. I have back problems (muscle spasms) and it is so nice having a back support to lean on. However this can be removed or left off completely if you don't want it, just remove a couple screws.Cons:1. The seat is pretty hard, and it is difficult to find a cushion large enough to fit over it. The seat is about 12 in x 12 in, and most cushions are about 10 in x 7 in. (I bought a Kloud brand gel seat from Amazon. It has a draw string to tighten or loosen the cushion. It doesn't fit over the widest part of the seat, but I can slip the tip of the cushion over the tip of the seat and tie the drawstrings onto the back of the bike, so I can still use the cushion fairly well.)2. The bike can only be used while seated; it isn't sturdy enough to stand up.3. This is for basic pedaling, not spinning or vigorous workouts.4. I am 5'5" and I prefer to use the bike on the lowest or second lowest notch, so if you are shorter than that you may have trouble reaching the pedals.Miscellaneous1. When I received the bike there was some damage to the right pedal. The metal piece attached the the pink base (as seen in the photo) was cracked. I didn't return the bike because the use is not effected. I hope this does not prove to be a bad decision later.2. The pink is very Barbie-ish, like some other have said. I am a woman so I am okay with it, but men mightprefer to use another bike.3. It took me about an hour to put the bike together. I don't consider myself to be very skilled with building things, so to me that seems reasonable.Overall I am so glad I bought this bike. I can bring it out and use it anytime, day or night as it is so quiet and easy to move, and if I go periods of time without using it I don't have a big piece of equipment taking up a large space in my house. All in all, if you are looking for a basic exercise bicycle, I would recommend this for you!

Pretty good for the price
My 6 foot tall, 200 lb son and 5’6” 130lb daughter-in-law can both use it. It was virtually silent while I sat in the room. The tensioner is easy to adjust, though it makes a loud clacky sound. To hear and watch my son using it, the highest tension isn’t particularly strong. I’ll get on it soon, but I’m 47, at the top of the weight range and not as fit as the kids, so we’ll see how it goes. I’ll try to remember to add to my review after I’ve used it.Oh, it’s also not really what I think of as a recumbent bike. The seat back is close enough to upright on ours that I wouldn’t call it reclining. If that’s enough to make it recumbent, then that’s what it is.The assembly was easy enough. The kids don’t have any trouble folding it to put it up.I bought it partly for the pink, but if that’s not your thing, there are comparable models, even by the same brand, that aren’t pink.
