Love my umbrella visor!!

Review is for a 2012 E Class Mercedes. I used to have another sun visor that reflected the heat very well, so I feel I am able to critique this one.Deploying this is awkward to say the least. If you have anything installed on the windshield, like a car camera, or phone mount, it just does not work. It is too awkward to try and slip it over or under the contraption and the "umbrella" rods slip out easily from the material. I had to remove my camera to make it work and cover the windshield tightly.After 4 hours in the Texas sun with outside temps around 86F, I got in the car and instantly flinched when I touched the steering wheel. It was scorching hot as without the shade. The cabin was also hot as usual.Removing the shade was equally awkward because it does not collapse nicely like an umbrella. It becomes a mangled mess, and again the rods slip out easily. Having a short lunch, I ended up tossing the mess on the passenger floor to deal with it later.Needless to say, I will be returning it once I can sort it out and put it back in the original form... 🙄UPDATE: I was never able to put it back into its original collapsed form and after a coworker tried to help me, we ended up shoving it into the sheath haphazardly, because it just would not behave. It was like a whack-a-mole, when we folded one section properly, the next one fell apart... frustrating. We had many laughs, but that was really the only positive thing about this product.

The handle part came off the firstTime I used it. But technically it still does it’s job so just super glue the piece and it will be ok

My husband and I did a huge vacation out west last month, and because we weren’t camping every single night along the way, we needed to be able to sleep in the car at rest stops since our trip was going to take us 25 hours (not including bathroom stops, food, etc. But I didn’t want anybody to (potentially) be creeping in on us just sleeping at a rest stop, so I was looking for some windshield covers for privacy and also to drown out some of the light… then I came across this lil beauty, and OMG, TOTAL game changer for car travelers!! In the picture, we were staying at this very well-lit rest stop, and without this blocking out the majority of the light, we would’ve been screwed! For anyone whose planning on doing any sort of car/van traveling, make sure to always have one of these in your car, it comes in so much handy and was super easy to set up!!

Product description said it fit a 2021 F150… did not completely cover my windshield. Several inches were not covered on either side. It did fit top to bottom . I do like the umbrella design as well as the bendable handle is a must for my dashboard. Would not fit otherwise. Despite the shortcomings on width, it definitely does the job of keeping the sun and heat out in the Arizona environment. Would be a 5 star product, for the cost, had the description on size been accurate.

So, the idea of a little umbrella to open up as a sunshade was in my opinion a great idea. However, this wasn't what I had in mind.The actually umbrella action is very basic. I thought it would be like a regular folding umbrella where you can just hit the button and it opens up. But rather, you hit the button and have to slide it open until it clicks, and when it's time to put it away you click the button to unlatch it and then pull the umbrella shut. I guess I was expecting some spring action.The fit was not good at all. Amazon told me that it would fit my vehicle, but it was a little too big. So it doesn't look flat like the pictures in the product description. That's actually not that much of a problem because there was still a way to lodge it in there and use the vehicle's sun visors to keep it in place, but it looks ugly. And then, the umbrella spires started to jam and a few of them are broken. Also, the material separated from a few of the spires too and there's no real way to reattach them.So, this umbrella sun shade still works, but at this point it's pretty ugly. Luckily, my vehicle is kinda ugly too so maybe they're a match. But I would not buy this again. Not sure if I would even try buying a similar product. That's how unimpressed I am by this one.

This is the third one I have bought. It comes just as described and in a reasonable amount of time. I have one for my Lincoln, my Ford Edge SUV and one in the drawer or spare in case something happens to one of them. I've never been one to use the sun shade cuz they were so much trouble but this one I even put it on when I go to the grocery store.

Bad design for my car. the demensions are correct but the handle part makes it impossible to place against window. Folding it up is a nightmare. No it doesn't work like a regular umbrella.
