Great product if it fits..
Made a mistake due to the size when ordering this item. However, it’s an ideal product if you get the measurements right. Now for the moan and groan bit… The package seal had been broken indicating somebody had either opened the box prior to delivery or it was a return. The items were loose in the box and I felt I had been fobbed off with something not fit for general sale. Yes I made a mistake by not measuring correctly BUT sending an item which had no doubt been returned falls short of the sales statement issued by Amazon. If they’re going to send items that have been returned then they should say so. Would be prudent for them to sort their act out ASAP. Have had poor service recently with deliveries and the replies are very patronising. The suppliers ought to advise Amazon to get their act together and pay their taxes as eBay appears to be a better option in getting quality products. Very disappointed. Again.

002 will not fit qashqai
ok here we go, I ordered these sum002 and checked with the amazon compatibility checker which said these would fit a qashqai .received the item ,then spent an hour trying to put the dam things on only to realise they were not long enough. I then rang summit up and spoke to a very nice lady who informed me that the 002 are not long enough and will not fit and that I needed the 003.I then rang amazon got a refund and reordered the 003 ,and informed them that the summit 002 are not for a qashqai as the car checker said it was and that when you go onto the web page with the 003 roof bars the car checker says these will not fit a qashqai ,so I think that amazon might have there wires crossed with the summit002 that does not fit a qashqai but says it does and the summit 003 that says it don't fit a qashqai but they do.

Cheap price....... Obviously there's a reason.
I purchased these for a Mercedes GLB and the length is fine, I was worried as they are shorter than most roof bars however the GLB is a narrow SUV. The reason for 2 stars is that after about 4 days of driving they vibrate themselves loose. No matter how hard you tighten them they'll always come loose again. Last time I tried tightening them I sliced open my finger very badly as the ends (with the plastic end caps removed) are very sharp. I will keep these but it means I have to fit them everytime I want to use my roof box rather than leave the bars attached and just attach the roof box as needed.

Good Value
Fitted on a mk2 Skoda Fabia estate with factory fitted raised bars. We had a little trouble getting the locking caps off, turns out you need more force than you'd think.Once fitted we attached a surf board in a case using straps. The straps we fitted from to back pulled the bars together a little on the journey. The solution was to refit them and only put pressure on the straps laterally, so they're held down and onto the car's roof bars. We'll know for next time.If you were to take these off and on regularly you might want to use a low ratio drill, like a wind down legs on a caravan, as the winding is a little laborious. But we'll use them probably twice a year, so for the money you can't argue .
